I had the absolute worst pleasure of attempting to eat at Mooyah. I have been there a couple of times, and their burgers are disappointing, and their hotdogs are average at best. My time at Mooyah consisted of close to 45 minutes of waiting for a single Hot dog to be made. As I checked to see if my order was ready, I was greeted with a defensive attitude from what I assumed was the lead shift manager. I blew it off and continued to wait as I had seen people who had ordered at the line as they got there, get their meals on time in a reasonable fashion.
After a grueling 45 minutes (No exaggeration I had recorded the time it took for them to cook) I saw that they were missing my cup for my soft beverage, I asked the employee to his eye for a cup and he blankly looked back down at the bread as he shuffled them from one tray to another.
This may have been one of the most infuriating experiences at a “Fast Food” establishment I have ever had in my entire life, and I believe they need to do some serious evaluation as to their quality of food, or at the very least make up for it in sub-par customer service instead of the continued attitude I received from the staff.

I am a student at UNCW and I normally love mooyah. I just went to mooyah to use my last meal swipe for the semester and was met with the one of the rudest workers I have ever encountered. This girl was on her phone when I walked up and I had to wait for her to get off the phone before saying “what’s the name” when I was trying to say hi and ask if I was still able to use my meal swipes. She told me they were out of sweet potato fries and I wouldn’t be able to get it anyway with my meal when this has never been a problem before and the menu says choice of fries. The only choices of fries on the menu is regular and sweet potato. She then told me they are out of mooyah sauce and when I asked if I could add bbq instead to my burger she said no and had a nasty look on her face. I said okay I won’t be getting anything then thank you and she didn’t respond. Just so she can be identified, she was a 20 something yo female with many silver face piercings. If this service continues I won’t be returning.

Depending on what you get, your food could be really good or pretty gross, but thats how most on campus restaurants are so it is expected. If anything, just don’t order the milkshakes. They are barely blended and the ice cream they use is not good. Overall, the space is really nice at the Hub and its conveniently located alongside Starbucks, so the upstairs dining area makes for a good studying area.

first time at this place, had never even heard of it. For a chain restaurant on a college campus it was great. Tasty burger on a super soft bun. The fries were fresh and the milkshake was super thick!

My first time here wasn’t the best. I would deeply appreciate having a copy of the receipt because my friend and I, our order mysteriously got lost and it took us 45mins to get it. They kept looking at us like,”why are you two just standing there?” I had to tell them about our orders. Despite the poor service, the burgers, fries and milkshakes are quite delicious and it made up for it almost. I think giving the customer a copy of their order will help things better in case of a mishap.

It’s good but shouldn’t take 40+ minutes to get a simple shake that takes less than a minute to make. They’re severely understaffed and undertrained, so there’s isn’t much you can do about it.

Horrible. Just horrible. Nasty drink station. Took three people to confirm I had ordered a chocolate shake 20min after I ordered it. Loud and obnoxious workers. Drove 10min home just to find out my burger was prepared wrong. Of course they have no number to call so now I’m hungry and pissed off.

GET THE GLIZZY! Ice burgers slaps. Justice for the salads, they gotta come back. Workers are the nicest ones on campus, deserve a raise. Anyways. Everything is really good and don’t get me started on the fries. Mooyah sauce > Cfa sauce. Oh you don’t want something salty? Well they got shakes. Come!!

Best burgers in town, pro tip: get sweet potato fries, even if you don’t like them, they’re so good. Plus the French fries are pretty garbage. Go sweet.

Awful service. Takes hours to get a simple burger and it’s a burger place. The employees are rude. Last time I went, they had No fries, no vinegar, no mustard. Food is below average.
