Sauce on the Side may be quick, and take food and drink orders at the counter, but we are not the standard fast-casual restaurant. After ordering food and drinks, we invite our guests to enjoy a hospitable, full-service experience – food, refills and additional service is provided at the table without the guest having to get up from their seat. Our food is award-winning, craveable and comforting. We make our own dough, prepare our sauces and dressings in-house, chop fresh produce and source high quality meats and cheeses. All of this work, allows us to deliver food to be proud of.

We are in town for work/tournament and wanted something not fast food but that we could pick up quickly to head back our hotel. Oh my good goodness!! This place is a hidden gem. Easy to order on line and easy to pickup. The calzone options are ridiculous!!! We couldn’t decide!! The portions are generous and the flavor is amazing. We HAVE to go back to try more variations. 10 out of 10 will go back.

I walked into Sauce on the Side just hoping for a solid calzone… and instead I left questioning whether I’d just met my soulmate.
I ordered the Meat Me in St. Louis, and let me tell you, this thing isn’t a calzone, it’s a meat-filled love letter. The crust was so perfectly golden it looked like it wakes up every morning and moisturizes. The filling? Enough savory goodness to make me momentarily forget I’m supposed to be watching my cholesterol.
Halfway through, I considered calling NASA because I’m pretty sure this calzone launched me into a different emotional orbit. Even the dipping sauce deserved its own acceptance speech.
If you’re looking for a sign to try this calzone, here it is. Just do it. And prepare to fall in love. With a calzone. No shame.

Delicious! My wife and I and one of her friends ordered ahead for our dinner on our way to a concert nearby. The calzones were ready when we arrived and they were hot and delicious. I got the Pancho Villa which had chorizo in it, and my wife got the Fatty B.
She ordered hers “well done” since she likes things a little bit crispy, but it was the same level of doneness as mine. She also ordered a side of spicy red sauce, but it was not in her order.
Even so, we all marveled at the size, flavor and quality of the calzones, and we all felt like they were a very good deal for the price. We all said we would definitely come back!

This was my first time & the employee was extremely helpful. I ordered the monthly special Always Sunny. It was delicious from the soft dough, to the mix of ingredients & the cherry pepper sauce on the side.

The absolute worse experience I have ever had! The food was cold but the employees were so rude if I would have complained I’m sure the place would have went up in flames. We were rushed even thought we got there well before they closed. We were told multiple times “we close in 30 minutes” as we are literally almost done eating our food. But other people in the restaurant who JUST ORDERED their food weren’t told this information. This was my first impression of this place and I will most definitely NEVER go back. The ricotta is the most disgusting ricotta I have ever had. 10/10 do not recommend to even my worst enemy. Maybe you all should check your employees as well, rude as can be.

Amazing food! You can have any option you want for a great price and the calzones are so big that it can cover 2 of your daily meals. Location is great, very clean. Staff was very kind, friendly and professional. They have some original soda options and I loved the idea of serving lemon with soda, European style. The Nutella calzone was also very delicious but warm banana was not my favorite so would definitely recommend getting it without it.

Finally was able to try this place and boy was I pleasantly suprised. I ordered my food curbside and the guy bringing it out was extra nice about it literally being .45 seconds pass the estimated time given. The Pepperoni Basil bites were bigger than expected and had the perfect crunch on outside, and they smelled divine. Now I also ordered the Always Sunny and I applaud yall for not calling it a “Philly”something but this calzone passes the Philly Cheese Steak vibe check for sure. However…as the restaurant is so accuratly named, the star here was definitely the sauces on the side. Chilli Pepper Ranch—- *takes virtual bow* just let me know when/ if yall start bottling that one!!! But yeah 10/10 stars for the flavor bombs and pocket of heaven.

You might not think that a calzone place could be very creative or have a lot of options and make you want to come again and again. This place does exactly that. There are many different calzones to choose from, they are all delicious and creative with the fillings and ingredients chosen. Every sauce I’ve had has been wonderful, The atmosphere is fun, warm, and inviting, with friendly staff as well as not too long of a wait for orders, I absolutely love this place and will continue to return.
