I asked if they could make a wedding cake and cookie cake with very little notice (bad planning on my part), on the off chance they might say yes. The price was very reasonable even with the last min request.
They fit me in! I gave them the colors and artistic freedom. It came out amazing and tasted delicious!

*Walk in and take a deep breath of the delicious baked good smells* Whether you grew up in Indiana or you were given a Smiley Face cookie from a friend, this place is a MUST! Locally owned and loved for many years and has been serving the town and surrounding areas for decades! Smiley Face Cookies are a must (especially the frowny face) but also try the cinnamon twist, creme horns, sausage roll, and the donut holes. Their coffee is delicious and their custom made cakes are the best in town! Merchandise is available too. Bringing their baked goods to a party, gathering, or even to colleagues is guaranteed to make you a crowd favorite! Just wish I lived closer so I could enjoy more often!

We came to Bedford because on my last trip here the people were the best. So me and my son brought the wife/mom with us to show off the community to her. This was the first place we stopped because it was coffee o’clock for the missus. The donut spread was really amazing so we were excited at first. Then the girl behind the counter ignored my wife and started taking the order of the group standing behind us. A fluke I was sure, we hadn’t been here before so maybe we didn’t understand the community inside knowledge? Maybe we weren’t saying something right or doing something right? But we were in what we were certain was the line so we just waited. Then the girl started taking the order of the group behind us again. That was weird, and not gonna lie, made me a little angry. Mostly because I wasn’t a fan of watching my wife have to go through that. So I was ready to leave, set the coffee down and just walk. As I was turning to go and starting to usher us out the owner noticed. Kudos to him (his picture is up on the side of the building). So here’s where I’m at. I only review places I either love or dislike. That leaves me in a weird place. We loved the food and coffee. But I don’t like doing business with businesses that don’t want to do business with me. So you get two stars man. Because you made my wife cry. I can take the abuse if it’s me but not when it’s her. Your food was good but thems the rules. If it had just been me I would have walked with no review, but it wasn’t.

Awesome selection of pastries! I wanted to try everything. Great coffee too. Red velvet donut was perfect. Glazed yeast was underwhelming but I should have ordered anything else there. Everything else looked better but I judge donut places on the glazed yeast.

I have always had good luck with this place beside the cake donuts and cakes we have tried in the past always tasting freezer burnt. Their filled donuts are excellent and seem to only have increased in quality over the years. However my experience today left me so angry that I felt I needed to voice the issue and warn people.
I came in for donuts early in the morning while my family was asleep as everything worked out and the kids were sleeping in. I wanted to get an assorted dozen and take 6 to work, 6 for the family, and then a few extra for me. I told the old grumpy lady I wanted 3 boxes and with donuts in each and she asked “how many are you getting”. I repeated that I wanted 3 boxes and added that I am going to put six in the first box. She finally grabs a small box and I said I want 6 chocolate covered cream filled a. I look at my phone to check the time (still good) and look back up and see she is putting 4 chocolate cake donuts (we really don’t like the cake donuts) in there and I interrupt here saying “I need 4 chocolate cream filled not cake” and her response was “you asked for cake”. Knowing there is no way I did that I said “if i said that I am sorry I meant chocolate cream filled”. She pointed to the chocolate cream filled tray on top and said “long John’s ok” she put the cake back and went to grab those. I then finished that box with two sprinkles donuts which I described in detail this time. Then in the second box I asked for 2 chocolate cream filled, 1 maple cream filled, 1 glazed cream filled, a strawberry with icing not powdered sugar and a blueberry with white icing. She got all of those and I asked in the last box to have two Apple fritters and one of their new donuts (since they stopped making the delicious pumpkin and German chocolate), and a glazed cream filled. She then grabs a bag and stuffs all of that in the same bag. I wanted a big to keep them separate but that obviously did not happen as they began to form together by the time I got home. I dropped the family donuts off and headed into work on track to get there early. 15 minutes into driving to work I get a text from my wife that theirs have no cream. I check mine and the only ones that have cream are the glazed. I then have to turn my car around and go 15 minutes back grab the house donuts, go to the shop. When I get there the lady sees me and heads to the back and another lady comes out to help me seemingly because this lady recognizes me and doesn’t want to deal with me. I tell the lady that I asked for cream these don’t have cream and my wife ate one assuming the cream collected at one end as they do at times and handed her the box of unfilled donuts. She verifies that the one brown one is maple not caramel (twice) then hands me a box with replacements for each donut in that box. I dropped the donuts back at home and headed into work into work 30 minutes later than intended which makes me late not early. At the end of all of this I have less cream donuts than what I paid for, they didn’t offer anything as an apology, and I am late for work. If this doesn’t get set right I will not be returning to this place for a while because this whole situation made me extremely angry. Especially since I have had good experiences with their filled donuts in the past. The only other bad experience was when we ordered a custom cake for my daughters birthday and picked it up at the scheduled time and yet it still tasted freezer burnt.

It is a little difficult to navigate to the bakery if you are not familiar with the area; however, the staff was very friendly. I missed where the prices were located, but everything seemed very reasonable (the more you buy, better the deal). I thought their icing was very sweet, but in my opinion that is the way it should be, but the others in my party said they thought it was a little rich. The chocolate chip sandwich was good, my mom enjoyed the oatmeal creme sandwich as well.
I ordered a few different donuts. I think the powdered Bismarks were the best and the yeast donuts. The long John’s were a bit cake like for my liking.
Definitely worth a try for your sweet tooth.

You are doing yourself a huge huge disservice if, when coming through the Bedford area, you don’t stop at magic morning bakery. This family run business has been around for quite some time and they never ever cease to amaze me with all the different varieties and great flavors that they provide to the community. Fantastic people great customer service and again the food is well, magical!

My favorite bakery to visit when I’m in town. I live in Ohio so I can only get these when I visit my good friend with this bakery down the road.
They’re known for their “Long John’s” we call them maple cream sticks in Ohio. But they’re the best I’ve ever had.
I usually order the vanilla iced raspberry Bismarck. My top choice for a donut.
They have beautiful cakes, cinnamon rolls, pecan rolls, apple fritters, donuts, danish cold bottled drinks coffee beans, shirts ect!
So much to try and enjoy! It’s always a must stop when we’re in town. Better get em early cause they will sell out of your favorite donut flavor.
Cash is definitely preferred because you will be charged a small percentage fee for using a card.
