First time gas station chicken has ever let me down. This was the saddest, grossest chicken I’ve ever had. It looked completely normal in the serving area but when I bit into it everything was room temperature. There is no way it could be safe to consume if it was at room temperature, so now I’m out $11 for some sad chicken tenders. Side note, prices are ridiculous- I assumed the $11 combo would include a drink but the cashier snarkily let me know I could buy one separate or have a water cup

Holy moly. The guy working was older than dust, and absolutely oozed ‘I don’t want to be here, ever.’ vibes. I don’t expect a lot from gas station chicken, but usually stopping at love’s they have decent food. Something hot and edible to get you back on the road.
I walked up to the counter and was greeted with “we only got legs”. No line though, right around noon, and I said “oh, I don’t mind waiting.” I really don’t, and I’m not one to stand there menacingly while I wait, I’d rather go poke around and see what there is to see at love’s while passing the time. NOPE. Only legs.
Then he walked away.
Just… Wow. You clearly don’t like your job, I get it. Don’t make it my problem too, guy.
