Traditional style Country cafe. Great food, everything! Especially anything breakfast & fried chicken. I have been coming here for years and one of the best places to eat for comfort food in the Jefferson County area. The service is always spot on and also the atmosphere reminds me of a typical local / rural cafe which is perfect!

I took an opportunity to finally stop here to eat lunch. An opportunity years in the making. I was very pleased with the daily special. The service was great (despite so many demanding customers around me). The roll stold the show! I passed by the pie counter on the way out and regretted not ordering dessert lol.

I’m writing a review on the 4 chicken dinners I purchased on 12/4/24i have been going to the country cafe for several years in which I normally purchase the fried chicken meal and I couldn’t say anything bad but seems like when I do I a to go order it’s terrible I don’t know what the problem is all chicken dinners was burnt some people count not it there’s for tasting the burnt taste see pictures below I will in further check the orders before leaving the restaurant management needs to look into quality control for I’m sure the people serving the food and management can tell it wasnt what they should be serving people let a lone charging money for it the Moto I go by and I am a baker if you wouldn’t eat it don’t serve it. I hope this situation is addressed cause if I was dinning in it would of been sent back do as you review the prior reviews of there purchase of the chicken meals it is no way close to pictures I presented there’s are the appearance of what cooking properly looks like

Adorable little place with home cooking. Large portions. The potatoes were so good. Tasted like they were cooked in butter. The pie looked absolutely delicious! Cheerful and friendly waitstaff. Reasonably priced. They had a specials board with frog legs. We will definitely be back when in the area again.
