Nate has a way of making you feel genuinely cared for. He double-checks details, remembers preferences, and creates this quiet feeling that what you want actually matters. Because of him, there’s a sense that the whole place is built around kindness and attention. I don’t feel that same atmosphere at other locations, and I’m sure a big part of this is his leadership. So, Nate — thank you. You’ve turned this café into a little daily refuge.
I also want to say thank you to all the baristas here. You’re wonderful — friendly, patient, and consistent. You’re a big part of why I keep coming back.
If I could wish for one thing, it would be more healthy food options — less overcooked, more light and fresh, and something for those of us who keep an eye on calories. There used to be an amazing sandwich with turkey, cranberry sauce, and rye bread that I really loved, and I was sad to see it go. It would be great to have something like that again.
Overall, this is a beautiful café with a special atmosphere. Thank you to everyone at the Downtown Water Street team — you make my everyday life a little warmer.
Our Server Ariana provided us with great customer service. Would love to visit this place again soon. Only issue is that there is very limited parking space.
But this is a Coffee Joint right?
I thought their coffee was fine, but nothing special. WSCJ is a nice place to go, but I don’t think they earned those ratings based on the coffee.
All in all I would definitely go back. Especially to try some of those eats!
I purchased a spicy chai latte, and it was some of the best tea I’ve had in years. It was rich and sweet with the right amount of spice. I also had a peanut kale salad and an avocado and spinach chicken wrap. These aren’t my typical picks for food, but they were both great and the portions left me feeling full.
I can’t wait for my next excuse to go back to Water Street!
Whether its your daily stop or trying it on the way through town
