Asked for 1 pound brisket thinking sliced, got 1 pound chopped mixed with bbq sauce and it wasnt my cup of tea.. Cole slaw was great, fried zucchini was good. Pricier than I was expecting.

Parking is ready if your in a car but anything else and it can be harder to get around the building if the lot is full. No room for large trucks or RV or trailers.
Service was fast and friendly and sweet.
The BBQ brisket was actually better than their pork but had a lot of BBQ sauce.
Get the spicy curly fries if you like spice, the regular fries can be a little bland or can use more salt.
Food was very quick to come out and the prices are reasonable.
The vibe is more of an old dinner than a BBQ joint but it kinda adds to the charm when not to busy.

Have you ever eaten at BBQ Ranch on Rt 11, Harrisonburg Va? If not , well you should because Their food is delicious especially Their “Pork BBQ Sandwiches” served for the last 80 years. I ordered a BBQ pork sandwich platter that had the sandwich, fries, fresh hushpuppies ( the bomb!) & a cup of homemade coleslaw ( its so good ).
They have collected every kind of glass pig figures that you can imagine, and They’re everywhere inside … Their collection is truly a sight to see !! If you want to add to the collection, just tell your waitress for many visitors do.

Food was delicious! We ordered the BBQ sandwich dinner. Pulled pork, fries, and coleslaw. Fries were hot, bbq was tender, enough room to sit and relax. Friendly service, beautiful people.
Be prepared to enjoy the aroma of the bbq as the smoke drifts inside the seating area. The restrooms are on the outside on the other side of the building, one stall per gender.
Lovely restaurant, I’ll return when I drive thru again.

Per a resident’s recommendation, I tried this small, rustic, locally-owned run restaurant with excellent service and yummy home-cooked food. The milkshake was to die for! The roast beef was tender and came with a rich homemade gravy. I had to buy a jar of BBQ sauce made in-house after trying the brisket sandwich.

Another Mom and Pop, hidden gem. The tomato based Bar-B-Q sauce is excellent! I had the Brisket Sandwich with baked beans, coleslaw, and hush puppies. My wife had the Bar-B-Q pulled pork sandwich with coleslaw and mac and cheese. The food was delicious, the prices were unbelievable. The cute little dining room takes you back to a time when life was simple and sweet. It has a cozy feel and very friendly staff. This is a road trip must see. It is a short walk from the Pilot truck stop off I-81 Exit 251. Follow me for more Mom and Pop, Hidden Gems all throughout the country.

Had the BBQ Brisket Sandwhich, Fries, Coleslaw and a side salad.
The bread wasn’t the freshest and toasting it didn’t help, there was more sauce then meat on the sandwhich. It was ok but nothing great. Standard frozen string fries and the coleslaw probably was from a can. Croutons and cheese would of made the salad better. I have to say the sweat tea was the highlight of the meal.
As I didn’t give high remarks but I didn’t give it low ones either. I can tell this place is worth a try. I will try the Pork BBQ next time.

So nice to leave DC and have a taste of Southern hospitality! Coming here was like a trip back in time! I’m so glad not much of an effort has been made to modernize! Rich with kitsch!
We both had the pulled pork sandwich, their most popular offering. I was not prepared for the kick it packed, perhaps I’m just a weakling! It was very tasty, I had mine with fries, hubby had his with spicy onion rings. Hush puppies and cole slaw came along for the ride. We also shared a pint of homemade vegetable beef soup, yummy!
