This is first time I’ve ordered from this Submarine house . I’m disabled so I only get to eat from here once a year when I get a birthday coupon from them for some money off my order . I was so disappointed when I got home I took 2 bites and it had a hair in it so of course I couldn’t eat any more it . I order the same thing every December which is Super Duper Cheesesteak and an appetizer. Happy Birthday to me ☹️

I have been going to this location since 1982/83. It has always been very good. Unfortunately, the last two times that we have been there has not been very good the previous time they undercooked my sub so I asked them to re-cook our subs and when they did, they came out completely burnt. They made no opportunity to fix it and just left it the way it was. We had not been back for a while. We had chose to go to the one in Huber Heights. It seemed to be much better, But on 10/1/25 We decide to give the The one on Main Street another chance. My wife actually got these to go so he hadn’t got to look at them till they got home. We had ordered the ham and turkeys with extra mayo and extra red crushed peppers and to be cooked in the oven once we got them home we got them out of the wrapper we realized neither sub Had extra mayo or extra peppers actually had almost no peppers and once again was undercooked, and then on top of that, the bun was completely falling apart. I think we have been to the one on Main Street for our last time. Just not very good anymore sincerely, John Bodine.

Very dated and grungy interior. Employees quite non-attentive. Very loud metal music blaring. 25 minutes to get one $17 8″ sub of average quality with only 1 person in front of me. Won’t be returning.

Great hole in the wall restaurant! Not only was the food fresh and delicious but the customer service was stellar. I ordered a sandwich to go for my husband and they kept it warm while I ate in the restaurant. The bathroom was older but very clean! Will go again the next time I visit the Dayton area.

Be very specific about what you want and ask questions about what they offer. It’s been a little different each time but what’s crazy is that it’s always delicious. The relish is yummy but if you don’t like spicy, get it on the side. Been around forever but we’ve only recently tried it and we’re forever fans! Service is fantastic, folks there are proud of what they’re serving! My wife Kamal & I really enjoy it!

This was our first time ordering from Submarine House. My husband said it was the best Italian sandwich he has had since visiting Italy. I had the pecan chicken salad and it was loaded and delicious. I decided to order from Submarine House after hearing my hairdresser and colleagues taking orders for the Submarine House and talking how good the food was. We will be back. It was cozy inside may eat in next time.
