Alexandra’s Restaurant is a nice option if you’re staying at Turf Valley Resort—it’s convenient to have a restaurant right inside the resort, especially after a long day. The atmosphere is pleasant and relaxed, and during the day, the views of the golf course and surrounding fields are a nice bonus.

The food seems to be made in-house, which is always appreciated. The burger, in particular, was very good—juicy, flavorful, and cooked well. The hand-cut fries were also a solid side. For this kind of fare, they do a good job, and it’s a reliable choice if you’re not looking to venture out.

Service was alright—not bad, but not especially memorable either. Some of the entrees, though, felt a bit overpriced for what they were. You’re partly paying for the resort setting, which is understandable, but still something to keep in mind. I’d recommend sticking to the burger or lighter fare. If you’re looking for a more varied or elevated meal, it might be worth heading into Ellicott City or checking out the nearby Turf Valley Towne Square.

Desserts were just okay—nothing that really stood out. Overall, a solid 4-star experience, especially if convenience is a priority.

This review is for the Sunday Brunch only. The wait staff is pleasant and attentive. The station chefs omelette carvery and pasta were excellent. Wait staff kept the Mimosas coming, however I was very disappointed in the food. Our reservation was 11:30 the chafing dishes were not keeping anything hot “at all”! Belgian Waffle was cold as was the sausage which has a really good flavor but cold. Potatoes were cold. Desserts looked better than they tasted. They were too sweet and they had been sitting around too long whipped cream settled into to a rubbery topping. However the Bourbon bread pudding was hot and delicious. The shrimp were good the Pasta was good. My omelet was okay. The items for the kids were old and cold chicken tenders were awful potatoe tots. I was disappointed because this was Turf Valley however the cost was only $40. As well the menu was somewhat limited in my opinion having been to many Sunday Brunch. Please get the hot water in the chafing dishes $.

We had a party of 5 and all of use were very disappointed. We went for our annual Christmas luncheon that we could not have due to a snow a couple weeks ago There was not one thing on the tables that was served hot. Everything was medium or cold. The Caesar salad salad was wilted The fresh fruit tray was good The potatoes with fried onions and peppers were lukewarm, and there were barely any onions or potatoes in there The waffles were cold The egg dishes were cold

We actually spoke to the manager, he knew how disappointed we were and the waitress knew as well because she kept taking our plates back with the food on it that we had put on there One of the ladies in my group said the cheesecake was good! The manager came to our table to speak with us, but then he explained to us about this being their first year, that doesn’t cut it when you are paying $38 for a meal As far as I’m concerned, that was the biggest waste of $50 that I’ve spent in a very long time and I would’ve been better off to go to McDonald’s and have breakfast

We went there last year and it was OK way better than what we got there today. Bare minimum he should have given us our meals for half price or he should not have charged us We decided when we met in the lobby that we will never ever go back there again for our annual event so he just lost five good customers I intend to put this on Facebook and I’m going to call the manager as I didn’t want to make a scene in the restaurant, but I’m going to tell him what I think!

I wanted to treat my wife to a nice dinner for her birthday and chose to go to Alexandra’s from the many other choices that we have nearby. We arrived for an early dinner at 5:30, were seated and greeted by our server about a minute later. We ordered drinks and appetizers, cream of crab soup and shrimp cocktail. The soup was very good and had the perfect amount of crab meat. Portion size was good as well. The shrimp cocktail was nothing special. It contained only 4 pieces of shrimp and could have been presented better. Perhaps a bit of crushed ice in the glass to sit the cocktail sauce on. Also I think that it should have had 5 pieces of shrimp instead of 4. My wife ordered the Spicy Honey Garlic Shrimp Stir Fry and I ordered the 16oz ribeye . Both arrived in a reasonable amount of time and were presented nicely on the plates. My wife enjoyed her shrimp but found the red chili a bit too strong. Luckily the chili was presented on the side of the plate which allowed her to only use a small bit of it to spice her shrimp up a little. Overall she said that her meal was very good and had the perfect portion of shrimp to rice. As for my ribeye, it looked nice, tender and juicy. Well I was disappointed as soon as I tried to cut into it. It was cooked to medium rare as I requested but was on the tough side. It appeared to be a choice cut of beef but for the price that I paid, $42, I would expect a prime cut instead. It wasn’t seasoned in any way but was eatable after applying a bit of salt and pepper. I ate it but it wasn’t very happy with it. For desert we chose the Peach Cardamom Crisp which was extremely good with fresh peach slices and a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Overall the dining experience was good but not exceptional for the price that I paid. Cocktails, appetizers, entrees and desert ran about $125, which was a bit high for the quality which I will only rate our dining experience at no more than 4 stars.

Attended a wedding here recently. The restaurant is on the lower level from the entrance to the hotel. Food and service were excellent. Appetizers were crab dip, shrimp, crackers and vegetables. Everything was quite good! Dinner was pork chop, salad, vegetables and chocolate cake for dessert. Everything was cooked properly and the server was very attentive. I would return to this restaurant again when I’m in the area!

Been here a few times. Food and service is pretty good. Love the brisket nachos and the chicken sandwich. Good selection of wine and beers on tap. Ambience is great, both inside and outside seating. Still have yet to try their Brunch!

The hostess today was extremely rude to my sister. She was so upset she ended up crying (she is not the confrontational type). I give them 2 stars because the manager was extremely understanding and helpful. This situation should not have happened in the first place, it could have been avoided if the hostess had the bare minimum kindness needed to work in customer service.

Sunday brunch horrible. Too many dishes were not heated properly, cold potatoes, too much pork, only one chicken dish, no beef. Food not up to the price paid $39 before tax and tip, total $48 and we all went home unsatisfied. Tables not cleared unless asked. Had maybe 3 vegetarian options, will not make anything extra for a non meat eater. Receipt added 20% tip for party of six…we were party of five. Will not go back.

This was my first visit to Alexandra’s and I was impressed. My girlfriend invited me to Happy Hour which is 4:30 to 6:00. We arrived before 5:00 pm and ordered the Smoked Brisket Tacos as appetizers along with our drinks. The wine and mixed drinks were on point. For an entree the crab cake was my choice. It was served with cole slaw and fries. Very tasty. Originally we had planned to sit at an outside table but it started raining just as we were on our way there. It is a beautiful area located in the Turf Valley golf course and hotel. Service was great and I will definitely be back.
