The food was pretty good, it was very noisy even for a restaurant. We had trouble hearing our wait-staff. All in all though, very good. My steak was a little overcharred, but otherwise didn’t seem too overdone, requested medium rare. The baked sweet potato was very good. The French fries were good, our daughters seem to enjoy those. My wife liked her salmon Waldorf salad.
All in all, was a good experience.

After weaving our way through the Sevierville outlet gauntlet and picking up a few warm sweaters for the holiday season, we needed a good meal and a quiet spot to unwind. That’s what led us to Holston’s Kitchen, a local favorite just far enough off the main strip to escape the tourist storm.
From the outside it’s understated, but step inside and you get a warm, clean, casually upscale vibe. The kind of place mostly locals know about, where the staff moves at a calmer pace because they’re serving regulars instead of rushing around for busloads of vacationers.
I started with the bang bang shrimp, and it was hands-down the star of the entire meal. Yes, it’s an appetizer, but it’s one you could easily devour as your main course without regret. The shrimp were lightly breaded, almost delicate, and the sauce, a house-made sweet chili base blended with their bang bang drizzle, hit that perfect balance of sweet heat. Full of flavor, not heavy, and made with fresh shrimp that actually tasted fresh.
The fish and chips followed, golden and flaky, and the fries were a standout. They tasted like someone in the back actually cut whole potatoes and fried them in-house, crisp edges, soft centers, and none of that frozen straight-from-a-bag texture you can spot a mile away. Simple, real, and really well done.
Nannette went with their Spinach Maria, bubbling hot, creamy, and rich, and followed it with the smash burger, which landed exactly where a good smash burger should, crispy edges, juicy middle, straight to the point.
Holston’s isn’t loud or flashy, and that’s exactly why it works. It’s relaxed, consistent, and feels like a breath of local air after a day in the outlet crowds.

Thank you, Melissa!! This was our first time coming here and everything—from the food and service to the ambience—was amazing. The restaurant is very cozy and perfect for either lunch or dinner. We started with the avocado appetizer and it was absolutely delicious.
The BEST dessert ever was the mandarin à la mode cake with ice cream. I highly recommend getting an extra scoop of ice cream—we didn’t this time, but we definitely will next visit.

This is a really good steakhouse. We arrived after 8pm but we were seated quickly. We got a fried pickle appetizer and it was really good. We had a serilon steak and some ribs. The ribs the best i have had but were well cooked. The steak was cooked well and seasoned well.

I got the ribeye with sweet potato souffle and creamed corn. It was absolutely delicious. My husband got the blackened salmon with a maple glaze with baked macaroni cheese and onion rings. We split our meats so we could have a little bit of surf and turf (highly recommend doing if you’re coming with your significant other). The salmon was absolutely delicious too. The only side I would not recommend was the onion rings. Nothing was wrong with them, they were just not special in my opinion compared to the other sides that we ate.
Oh, save room for dessert because they have a FABULOUS creme brulee. I definitely will be coming back when I visit Pigeon Forge in the future.

This restaurant is simply exceptional. It’s beautiful and elegant, with excellent service. We were attended to very quickly, and the food arrived promptly. The flavor was excellent. I highly recommend the chili — it’s incredibly good. The prices are very reasonable and very good. Absolutely recommended. A+++

I have to say celebrating our anniversary of 6 years our server Lori was amazing, omg an amazing dinner and appetizer and order a dessert to go. The atmosphere was awesome the people very friendly and again our server Lori perfect service with a smile and suggestions. Very happy and satisfied and will be back definitely. We ordered the Georgia peach salad, which was perfectly fresh and delicious. However, their almond chicken soup was excessively creamy and thick, and their chili soup Isn’t my favorite. Our friends ordered fish and chips, which they found to be excellent, and the Reuben sandwich appeared appetizing.

Great atmosphere and flavorful food! Good selection of gluten free items. I ordered the rotisserie chicken and sweet potato and a side of cheese grits. Sides came out closer to room temperature and not very hot. Service was excellent – Lexi was a great server. Will be back when I’m in town again.
