We had a small family lunch (6 mains). I called the order in at 11:15 shortly after they opened. I asked for it to be ready for 12:30 pick up. When I arrived the food was coming off the grill hot and ready. Everything was delicious. I had the banquet burger which may have been one of the best burgers I’ve had in recent memory. I also tried the chicken club which was also very good. Overall I would highly recommend!

Overall: not bad, would likely return if I was in the area.

Ambience:
More of a grab n’ go place, I wouldn’t really chose to sit down and eat there, dining room is clean but a little bland decor wise.

Food:
Food was pretty good, we got a burger and fries combo with a chicken poutine. The serving for the poutine was good and it was a pretty good poutine, as were the burgers and fries.

Customer service:
Was okay, staff could be a little more welcoming and friendly, but was alright.

Price:
Was pretty good for the portions of food you got.

Accessibility:
Pros:
Service dog accessible, with a sign reminding pet owners they cannot bring their pets in, and has a large accessible washroom.
Cons:
There are a couple stairs leading down without a ramp so would not be wheelchair accessible and you may have issues if you use a walker. There also aren’t any buttons to automatically open the front door or bathroom so that may also be a struggle for the elderly or those with mobility issues.

Terrible, the reviews seemed good so we gave it a try. It was incredibly disappointing and some of worse Greek food I’d ever tried. Tasted like store bought dressing was poured over the pita and the chicken was just barely cooked. The cooks put zero effort into the meal.

I found the service to be attentive, warm and accommodating. The food was great. The meat was well flavored and the toppings were healthy in amount.

I had the spinach pie as well as the gyro on a bun. I find them both good choices. If there’s any failing, I would say the bun was a little dry. Together it cost almost $12 and I wasn’t too full to finish the meal. The decor is quite a bit dated and bland, but I would still recommend you to give Nick’s Grill a try!

Meh. It’s fast food Greek style. Not as good as in previous years (been coming here for a few decades at least), but still edible. I was craving Greek on a Monday so I knew my options were limited.

I listed gluten allergies on my Uber order (they’ve removed the ‘special notes’ section so I couldn’t specifically state NO PITA). But they still added pita bread to the order. Funny enough, the Uber receipt printout says **ALLERGIES** in massive font so it’s hard to miss.

Had to update my review as the restaurant has changed ownership and unfortunately the quality and preparation of the food has dropped considerably. Not the same Tom’s Grill anymore!

It does not get more local diner than Tom’s Grill (Nick’s) when you are looking for a restaurant in Whitby. I still need to find out the story behind the restaurant name but when I do expect an update here. The owners are wonderful people and are always happy to help accommodate any dietary need or food related questions.

The food is hearty and filling with very generous portions. Their greek potatoes taste delicious and have the right balance of lemon and herbs. Lunch portions are done right and worth the money paid for them. All other food items I have ordered from them have been good.

A welcoming restaurant that makes you feel like home with freshly prepared hearty food is hard to beat!

The only downside I see is the parking situation but don’t let that stop you from checking out the restaurant. There is some road and Green P parking in and around the area.

I recommend you stop by for lunch or dinner and check out this food spot in Whitby. They also do greek food catering should you need to feed a larger party.

I thought the food was good here until the very last time I walked in to order. The guy was in front of the grill using tongs to rotate the meat, and dropped the tongs right on the floor. To my absolute shock he casually picked them up and continued using them on the meat without washing them. I walked out and have never gone back since
