This is a great place to get authentic mexican food. They have a wide variety of foods. My favorite go to is their steak la doña tostada salad. Their dressing is delicious!! Free chips and salas!! Servers are all welcoming and very friendly!! Highly recommended!!

I’ve lived in Arcadia for over 20 years and had no idea this gem existed until I visited Villa Catrina last Sunday for their brunch—and wow, what a find!

Brunch starts at 10 AM and costs just $27.50 for an all-you-can-eat buffet that includes six stations: a taco station, omelet station, salad bar, hot entrées, soup station, and desserts. And yes—it also includes three strong and tasty mimosas!

As soon as you walk in, the taco station is on your left. A friendly lady makes fresh corn tortillas by hand, right in front of you. You can customize tacos or quesadillas with their house-made sauces and fresh ingredients—something you rarely find this fresh and authentic.

Continue past the bar and indoor dining area (which is often used for parties), and you’ll reach the main buffet room. The omelet station offers made-to-order omelets and traditional breakfast items like bacon, sausage, and potatoes. Then you’ll find hot Mexican entrées like enchiladas, birria, barbecue ribs, and grilled salmon—they rotate the main dishes weekly.

The soup bar features caldo de res and other rotating soups, complete with chips, salsa, and toppings to customize your bowl. The dessert section is impressive too—churros, flan, éclairs, cream puffs, cookies, and even fresh fruit like strawberries, pineapple, and papaya.

After 11 AM, they also have live music, adding a fun and festive vibe to your patio dining experience. Honestly, for $27.50—including three mimosas—this is an unbeatable deal.

Highly recommend this place if you’re anywhere near the area. It’s a true hidden gem in Arcadia!

Fairly nice place with decent food. It was good, but it didn’t really WOW us. We’re not asking for magic, but it was just no different than any other mexican food place…beans, rice, enchiladas, tamales Taquitos etc.

There were some specials on the menu but nothing really that different from any other place like this.

The service was polite and nice.

I did have one issue…

We were told to sit wherever we would like and we grabbed a table that looked comfy for our group. As we pulled out our chairs, I noticed the floor around our table was very sticky like soda or Margherita had been spilled and not cleaned up.

I got up to notify an employee and found Joe. I began to explain to Joe that the floor was all sticky under our table in hopes that he would maybe do something about it but Joe proceeded to tell me that, this sort of problem is for the night crew.

I was a little taken back and went back to my seat. My group really wanted to sit where we were at, so my friend and I took one for the team and decided to stay at that table. The whole time during dinner I couldn’t help but be grossed out by my feet being stuck to the floor.

The experience kind of wrecked it for me all around. I couldn’t really enjoy my food as every time I moved my feet, they were stuck to the floor.

Joe…please take a minute to grab a wet cloth or a mop and give an area a quick cleaning if a customer tells you the floor is sticky.

We all left kind of just meh. It was dinner out, that’s it.

The margaritas must be good or strong as the group of women next to us couldn’t stop screaming…lol

Very good spot for Mexican food. It’s an average place, which isn’t bad ok. The food is really good, has good flavor and is consistent. The chips and salsa are usually mild and not too spicy. Haven’t had any problems with any entree so far and been coming here for over 10 years! Favorite is the chile verde for suuuure. Packed with flavor and the meat is veeery tender. The tortas are a great choice. Can’t go wrong with the guacamole!Husband says the cervezas on tap are really good.

My wife and I have been to Villa Catrina in Arcadia a couple of times before as guests of family members who frequent this restaurant. Each time, the food, service, and atmosphere were great — which is why we decided to look into hosting a baptism brunch here based on our past experiences and our family’s recommendation.

When I first called, I spoke with a lady who was incredibly kind and helpful. She went over menu options, pricing, and availability in detail and was very professional. That call left a great impression and made us excited to plan our event here.

Unfortunately, our in-person visit today was very different. When we stopped by during lunch to ask about reserving a date, we were connected with an employee named Joe. From the start, his tone was dismissive. Before even asking about our group size or specific date, he told us they already had a 40-person event that day and that our date “probably wasn’t available.” He also said several times that he wouldn’t be able to “move his staff around” to accommodate another party. When we asked if he could check with the person in charge of scheduling, he said he didn’t want to interrupt their schedule and told us to come back at 5:30.

We’re not sure if Joe might be the owner, but if we were running a business, we’d never want to foster that type of attitude toward potential customers. We completely understand if a date is booked, but the interaction could have been handled with more care.

We’re sharing this not to bash the restaurant — because the food and staff have been great in the past — but to help others know to speak directly with the right person for events. This place has a lot of potential, but today’s experience was disappointing.

The atmosphere and decor are awesome, and the service was outstanding. Plenty of dining space inside and in their covered patio, and the bar is cool. Food was prepared and served very fast the presentation was beautiful. Salsa and guacamole were good an tradtionally prepared. Flavors in the main dishes were a bit lacking for me – the tomato sauce for my steak ranchero was good but primarily a mild tomato sauce. Beans were lacking flavor (maybe because I asked for no cheese and that’s where the flavor is) and quite runny. Shredded beef inside the tacquitos was tasty. Would have liked fresh tortillas rather than pre-packaged ones. Overall it was a decent lunch and I’d recommend the place for the service and decor alone.

This is such a great restaurant, and our experience was outside. Friendly staff, great menu options, great prices and delicious food! I loved the outdoor dining area, very comfortable and clean.

Food was mediocre, no one in my group finished their food. I literally felt nauseated half way through my plate. Michelada was not great there’s no special mix to it tasted like a beer with some tomato sauce and a lime. The sampler was mostly tortilla chips and bits of burnt microwaves cheese.
$100 for 3 of us and not satisfied.
Whats worse is I’ve been here in the past and was waaay better so I’m not sure what happened in between the gap

Hands down the best Mexican restaurant in Arcadia. Great food, drinks and service (Chuy is the best who we followed from Zapata Vive). We have been coming here for over a decade and I recommend it to friends, family and co-workers. This place is also great for large groups and banquets as we held our engagement party there in 2016. I love their chicken mole, coctel de camaron, ceviche, the list goes on. Oh and don’t forget their churros and deep fried ice cream. They also have a great brunch! You won’t be disappointed.

I don’t know — maybe it was just us when we visited (a sleepy Monday after the lunch rush hour), but the server or the kitchen got a couple of the orders for our party of 9 incorrect, despite coming back after taking the orders to verify each of our orders. My soft tacos were on the mushy side, the enchilada sauce was somewhat sweet, and the rice (normally a highlight for me at Mexican restaurants) was mushy. The inside was also rather dim. Again, maybe it was just me or the particular time of day, but just trying to call it as I experienced it.
