It’s a good idea to book ahead. We arrived without a reservation and they seated us by the bar but then managed to move us into the garden after we had our starters. Lovely setting for a dinner, soft lighting and surrounded by greenery. Food was tasty, service friendly – a little slow but we weren’t in a rush. They even spontaneously offered us a dessert on the house to apologise for the wait, even though we were happy taking our time. Nice place, would recommend!

Super location with a great atmosphere. The staff was very friendly and attentive without being intrusive, which made the whole experience very comfortable. The food was excellent overall. The octopus was a 10/10 and definitely the highlight — a very interesting and delicious combination of flavors. Everything else we ordered was also perfect. Victor and all the other waiters were incredibly friendly and welcoming. Highly recommended! Great live musicians.

kondesa cocina moderna is easily one of the best meals I’ve had in a long time. Fully deserving of 5 stars.
We were welcomed by a live jazz quartet, and the restaurant is tucked into a small, jungle-like setting, which sets the tone right away.
The food is packed with flavour, with thoughtful vegan and gluten-free options that don’t feel like an afterthought. For starters we had the guacamole trio and wagyu dumplings — both were unreal.
For mains we ordered the sinaloa tacos and the green ravioli — absolutely nailed.
The drinks are beautiful, and the mocktails are genuinely great, not just filler.
We finished with the katrina dessert — A MUST.
Accessibility note: the bathroom isn’t wheelchair accessible due to a ledge, and the gravel/pebble flooring may make wheelchair dining difficult.
If you’re in Cozumel and want something special without the touristy feel, don’t skip this place.

Beautiful atmosphere with outdoor tables in a jungle lake setting with great music. The service was excellent and the food is very fresh. The salad delicious we had Yucatán and Mayan red snapper sauces were really creative and the rice was good, but the fish was a little on the dry side.

I was excited to try this but I really wouldn’t recommend it. The staff were lovely but this is for sure a tourist trap. $1000 pesos for one starter, one main and one cocktail. The cocktail was watery, the starter really lacked flavour of any kind and the main was just not good. The meat was mostly fat. It’s a beautiful place but it’s not the one. I asked for garrafón water (free drinking water) and the server said he was only allowed to give me one glass (not his fault). They cater to tourists and know how to take advantage. The ambience is gorgeous but I would skip it.

We let Luis choose what we should order and everything was delicious. Great service and amazing food- had lionfish cakes and Mayan style snapper. The steak on the pumpkin risotto was the best beef ive had in cozumel. Great cocktails. Great value.

We had a wonderful evening at the restaurant and the food was beyond amazing. But as good as the food was, the service was even better. Victor and Sergio took such good care of us. We loved the unique flavors of every dish and you could tell the chef was on top of his game. Definitely will be a return visit when we come back to the island.

Very beautiful places with very beautiful food. You can feel that the ingredients are fresh and everything looks gorgeous, the service if super attentive and really on point. The orders come extremely quickly.
I was expecting more flavour and I think my tacos were made for European/US tastebuds, both salsas that we got were very delicate and missing some salt and acidity, but in general loved the experience.
