This is a very small restaurant that is compartmentalized so you see very little of what is going on and this makes it very difficult to catch your servers eye.
That being said, our server was extremely pleasant even though the wait between visits was over long. She would pop in fairly frequently to tell you she would be back. Don’t visit if you are in a hurry.
There were always people coming in and waiting to be seated. Our 3 table compartment was right by the door.
My chili and cheese omelet was the best I have ever had. Absolutely delicious! It came with toast. Mine was cinnamon raisins. The toast was buttered when it was hot and it had a nice crunch.
Home fries were an extra fee and I ordered a half portion to be cooked crispy and they came crispy. I was not a fan but I will say I am very fussy about my home fries.

I have been here a few times and the food was always delicious. I don’t know what happened but our entire party was disappointed today. The corned beef hash tasted almost sour and it looked like the eggs were a fried with Pam spray. The atmosphere is cute in the service waiting on us was wonderful.

Disappointing breakfast. The home fries were burnt and tasted like they came straight from the freezer. The strawberries on the pancakes were clearly frozen — mushy and flavorless. Pancakes were dry and bland. Definitely not worth the visit.

It’s a pretty small place, but they maximized the seating, which was great. The service was not good from the get-go. The food was too greasy. I will say that the prices are good and comparable to other local places. You’ll find better home fries elsewhere, though.

This is a beautiful gem in NK. There’s a number of places to go and have a decent breakfast, but the Nook has all its bases covered. From food and value, to staff and service, everything is fantastic!
Service is a MUST anywhere I go, especially with a client (I’m a DSP). We used to frequent a different establishment, but value went down and the way they treated my client was rude. We made the switch and haven’t looked back. We go weekly and not once has there been an issue with anything. We walk in and are greeted by name and huge smiles. Both Patty and Kelly are super friendly and always up for a little chit chat. Patty has a wonderful rapport with my client and she greets them with a warm hug, always with permission. She has patience and allows them to take their time.
Now the food… Yum! If you’re craving a home cooked type breakfast, this is the place. I do my best to switch things up a bit, but the hash is addictive. I have sampled just about everything so that I could this review, and have been pleasantly surprised. We have been there a time or two for lunch and it’s just as good. The burgers are absolutely delicious and cooked perfectly. Everything comes out fresh, hot, and just the way you like it. The value for the price is phenomenal regardless of which meal you are there for.
So, if you want a good meal at a decent price, this is a great place. If you also want fantastic service with a smile, this place is a MUST!

My brother and I enjoyed a nice breakfast together in this quaint little breakfast spot. The only thing that was a miss for me was that I was served cooked slices of ham fat along with my ham and eggs.

My sister and I were so excited to visit the Breakfast Nook ll today. The images online looked fabulous and the atmosphere charming. There were few cars outside so we were hopeful for prompt service. Sadly, we were not greeted by anyone, nor was there a sign indicating we should wait to be seated, so we found a table and waited and waited. Though we could hear staff talking no one approached our table. Despite a ringing cellphone, indicating we were at a table, no one ever came out to take our order. When we got up to see if there were any staff, two employees briefly made eye contact with us as they continued their conversation. Unfortunately, we eventually decided to leave as we didn’t want to interupt their lively discussion.

Don’t sleep on Breakfast Nook. We went on a Saturday morning, and got great and efficient service. The food options are breakfast classics. There are some healthier options as well. The prices are very affordable!
