We came in on New Year’s Eve and the staff was friendly and accommodating as we didn’t have a reservation. The sirloin tips were recommended and it was well-seasoned and tender! Will definitely come back. Thank you!

Their food is like a warm hug on a plate – wholesome, comforting, and filling. It’s the kind of food that makes you feel like you’re sitting down to a home-cooked meal with family. The portions are generous, and the flavors are authentic and delicious. If you’re looking for a place that serves up good ol’ fashioned comfort food, look no further than the Chuck Wagon. Highly recommend!!

Chuck Wagon is a quaint restaurant tucked away in the mountain town of Livermore Falls, Maine. It’s a nostalgic throwback to the Oregon Trail, retro diners, and small-town living.
The food is very good with a nice amount of options. Portions are decent and filling. The flavors work well together. The staff is awesome. Always pleasant and inviting. The owners do a lot of work in the community, which is always a plus.
If you opt to dine-in, you’ll get to experience all the quirky décor, the pleasant wait staff, and a truly enjoyable meal. Takeout is an option, too.
There is only street parking, but it usually isn’t hard to find a spot. Do keep in mind that a lot of tractor trailers and larger vehicles frequent this road, so be sure to stay aware of your surroundings.
There are a few local shops to peruse, as well as the Androscoggin River across the street from Chuck Wagon. It’s definitely a worthwhile stop in Livermore Falls.

Pretty much everything was good, actually very good. From the Caesar salad and dinner rolls to the main meal. Mary had fish and chips and I had fried haddock shrimp and scallops. All the fried food was lightly battered and cooked to perfection, very tasty and moist. Mary usually doesn’t like french fries but she ate every single one of these. The waitress was very friendly an answered all of our questions pleasantly. All the food came out right on time. We would definitely recommend the Chuck Wagon.

Four of us stopped in for lunch on our way to a girl’s weekend. I was the one who suggested the Chuck Wagon even though I had never eaten at this one. Happily it turned out great! Two of us had the steak tips, one the chicken cordon bleu and one the ribeye all with different sides. Everything was delicious. My friends are still talking about it!

The Chuck Wagon! Very unique decor inside the restaurant with mostly locally sourced lumber (I think), the business started in 1967. The waitress was very nice and running the show by herself. Menu items were very reasonably priced and food was good for what it is. Good quick stop point for a meal.

This place is a gem!! They don’t make them like this anymore! Side choices include squash, green beans, and beets! Cool decor and good food. Highly recommend!

My sister and I vistited the Chuck Wagon this past Monday. I have been wanting to visit this restaurant since leaving home (Livermore Falls, Maine), over 30 years ago. This wonderful restaurant holds the most precious and sacred memories to me as a child growing up, as my grandmother would bring us to the Chuck Wagon for breakfast a few times a week. I remember the waitresses would let us play the juke box, and bring us cups of hot cocoa topped with whipped cream.
It was nice to see that despite all of the changes and hustle and bustle, that this most cherished establishment has remained frozen in a kinder, gentler time. I am most excited to share that even in 30+ years I have been away, the Chuck Wagon will never disappoint, from the authenticity of the lovely wait staff, to the exceptional food.
We both ordered the Fish and Chips, and it was absolutely scrumptious. The staff was very accommodating, as I mentioned to them what a special occasion this was for me. Our waitress Lilly was an absolute delight, with a huge smile, and was attentive/yet respectful of our wanting to savor our visit. I did not get the name of our hostess, but she was the sweetest and brought the staff to sing “Happy Birthday” to me with a piece of chocolate cream pie!
I am so grateful tobe able to share such a wonderful experience in hopes that others will see how wonderful this place will ALWAYS be!

Walk back in time to 1970 by visiting the Chuck Wagon. I love this place in part because it’s a time capsule and the meals are great. There’s no place like it. A hometown restaurant that serves a decent meal at a decent price. The waitresses are super. Check out my picture of the famous Red Eye Lounge. By the way… Their prime rib is fantastic!
