The new remodel made this place look very bland and commercial. Great food, good chips and burritos, nice queso. A little cold in the restaurant. The two female employees working the counter gave us a very bored and quiet “Welcome to Moe’s” and then immediately returning to their conversation about the woes of life. But they were friendly overall. Tables were clean, and the soda machine was all filled up and working, which is rare for those! Very adorable decorations, especially the line of stockings above the front door and windows.

I’ve eaten at Moe’s twice this week as I’m in town for a short period of time and have an old gift card that has to be used before I go back to Miami. Earlier this week I ate at their North Buffalo location which was great everything from the service food and restaurant cleanliness was exemplary. Tonight I ate at the Amherst location and it was a very different story. I walked in not to be acknowledged at all. Their traditional “Welcome to Moe’s” was nonexistent despite having a full staff behind the counter. In fact I stood there even though there was no one else in line only to watch the girl behind the counter put together 4 burritos from an online order even though I was a party of one and right there. In fact it took so long I started to wonder if I was better off putting an online order in while I was standing there. After being acknowledged finally she did apologize for the delay so I will give her that. After going through their counter service assembly line style for my burrito bowl, I proceeded to find a tabl as I was dining in. Despite being 70% empty every table in the dining area was completely filthy and there was no one cleaning in sight. After picking the least filthiest table and cleaning it myself I walked to the salsa bar to find that ridiculously filthy as well. Spilled salsa all over the place that looked like it was sitting there forever and near empty salsa bins. There was even a random plastic salsa cup that was obviously touched by another customer sitting in my favorite El Guapo salsa (see picture), completely unsanitary conditions. As someone who is typically far from squeamish I was concerned about the conditions I was eating in this evening. Cold staff, pig stye dining room, and the food was, well its Moe’s food. Not necessarily gourmet but what you would expect. Very disappointing to see a restaurant seem like they could care less about customer experience especially when they have so much competition in that Niagara Falls blvd area.

Worst Nachos ever + Worst Service = Mone’s Southwest Grill
So I’m visiting from NYC and ask my buddies where I can get Nachos, and google turned up this place. I had strong reservations because of their rating, but we still decided to give them a try! Worst decision! The picture below is what they sold me as “Nachos”! And charged to guacamole! It took every fiber in me not to give them a piece of my mind in that store.
I should have declined ordering when the server started asking me “what do you want in hour nachos?”. This is a standard dish with a recipe. I order Nachos all the time on DoorDash and all you are asked to chose is choice of protein.
Unless you really don’t know what Nachos is or you have a thing about bad service, this place left a sour taste for me and might for you!

I am 77 yrs old and I love eating out and I have had a lot of experience at eating out and I must say this is the absolute worst restaurant we have ever ate out and the food was horrible, plus very expensive! It went right into the trash where it belonged!

I want to like this place, since everyone I know loves it. I have never enjoyed the food here, unfortunately. The chips are unsalted, the queso is literally just – melted and watered down white American cheese with a couple tiny little pieces of jalapeno. The burritos are bleh, and my kids quesadilla wasn’t even warm, so the cheese wasnt melted at all. Their drink machine is kind of cool. They have high chairs and booster seats for the young ones.
