We stopped by The Habit for a quick lunch, and overall it was a good experience for a fast-casual spot. The food came out fresh and warm, and everything we ordered tasted as expected.
What we ordered:
Santa Barbara Char: Fresh toppings, creamy avocado, and a nice toasted bun. It had good flavor without feeling heavy.
Double Char Cheeseburger: A classic Habit burger. Simple, flavorful, and reliable. The bun was soft and fresh, which I really liked.
Crispy Chicken Bites: These were actually the highlight. Juicy inside, crispy outside, and cooked well without being oily.
French Fries: Standard fast-food style, but crispy and hot.
Service & Environment:
Ordering was easy and fast.
Parking was convenient and close to the entrance.
The only downside was the inside seating area, it looked a bit small and crowded, so we preferred to sit outside, which actually worked out great. In any case, for a fast-food spot and a quick meal on the road, it was good and perfectly acceptable. I wasn’t expecting anything more than that.
The restroom/amenities were not clean, which was disappointing.There were paper towels and toilet paper on the floor, next to the toilet, and even around the sink. It would be much better if they cleaned it more frequently, especially since it’s the only restroom available.
Even with those issues, the overall food quality was good, and it worked perfectly for a quick lunch stop during the day. If you’re looking for something fast, simple, and consistent, this location does the job well.

I enjoyed a Santa Barbara hamburger from this establishment. The sandwich was very good. It is a lot of food and can likely be enough for two unless you are very hungry. The fries were good but didn’t knock me out of my seat. Customer service was good. Parking was a little tight.

This location is getting worse. Today we picked up an online order, got back to see over riped, bruised avocado on our burgers. We paid $2 extra for avocado, you’d think it would be green. We ended up scrapping it off because it just looks gross. Makes you wonder what else are they sending out bad?? I also ordered fries EXTRA CRISPY and they were EXTRA SOGGY! Disgusting, cold, limp, oily fries – which went straight to the trash! WHAT A WASTE OF MONEY!! They definitely don’t take pride in the quality of the food they send out here.

The char burger was delicious with the excellent presentation. The fries was cooked perfectly not oily and very crispy. Their tropical tea was refreshing. Not too crowded and very friendly staff.

I prefer to do Habit Curbside pickup. This is a very small habit & it can get busy and crowded very quickly. Very poorly designed restaurant, when it comes to literally only enough space for 2-3 people waiting to order- if there is a dinner rush, the line will wrap around & the self-serve fountain drink station & Spicy condiment bar are hard to access. Other than that, the service is consistently good. Once & awhile I get a Rogue chicken salad (too much dressing & croutons) & sometimes it’s perfect. I wish there was an option to sub crispy chicken to the grilled Cesar. But, I found a hack! Download the app- order a plain Cesar & a Kids crispy chicken meal- it comes to about the same price & you will get a side & kids drink. Best of both worlds baby!!!

This store is set up very poorly. You can barely move inside there. They don’t have the peppers and condiments out like most stores. My French fries sat up on the counter for a while waiting for the burger – so they weren’t even hot! Not going back to that location ever!

The Habit is a delicious place to eat. From the hamburgers to the salads, I enjoy the options. Even $1 ice cream cones. The only thing that I would prefer, would be to have avocado slices instead of a scoop of avocado spread on my salad, which is an extra $1.59.

The Habit has always had a consistently good tasting burger with a decent variety of toppings as well as some pretty cool alternatives like the albacore tuna filet. Try it in sourdough, it’s the best! When we are in the mood for a tasty burger with no B.S. we always make a trip down to the Habit!
