A very positive experience at Cracker Barrel Old Country Store. The venue features a warm, traditional décor that recreates the atmosphere of classic American country stores, providing a comfortable and distinctive setting from the moment you arrive.

The service was highly professional, friendly, and efficient, with great attention to customer care. The meal itself was of excellent quality, with well-prepared, flavorful dishes served in generous portions, staying true to the concept of authentic American homestyle cooking.

The adjoining retail shop is also a highlight, offering a wide variety of traditional products, decorative items, and unique souvenirs, which makes the visit even more enjoyable.

An excellent choice both for a relaxed family meal and for anyone wishing to experience a truly typical American dining experience. Highly recommended.

It was packed here and long wait but it was worth it. Some order mistakes but the staff handled it very professionally. Great customer service! They are very welcoming. The front staff definitely know me now. The retail manager Brandy is awesome and very understanding down to earth. George and Cayden are cool people. Great team that loves their job it shows. Nothing has change and nothing to worry about folks; the southern style experience is present with good vibes! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We had a really great experience at this Cracker Barrel location. Even though they were fairly busy, we were seated right away. Our server was very friendly and very attentive and went out of her way to make sure everything was right. The food was really good and was served very promptly. We will definitely visit again when in the area.

Our server, Eric I believe, was great. He was doing his best running back and forth to cover all the tables when they were short staffed.

Brandi the store side manager was a delight and I think being a customer facing manager is her calling.

Eric and Brandi both came to the table with positive attitudes to check how everything was, to correct anything, and to replace things as needed. If it were based solely on their service, personalities, and attitudes, I would give 5 stars.

The issues from the kitchen caused the two star deduction. We found out they had a lot of new kitchen staff being trained, causing the delays in getting food out and some food being cooked incorrectly.
This is only meant as constructive criticism as I do understand that they at new and learning, and will get better in time.

I hope this is also a reminder to others that your server is not the one making your food. It is fair to ask them for updates, for something to be remade, or for something else entirely. It is Not fair for you to blame or be mad at them because of something you are unhappy with. Just ask them and they will help you fix it.

The specific things we had issues with:

The corn muffins came out with half of them crispy and half of them not, but they were all dry, very crumbly, and cold.

The biscuits were doughy and undercooked, but hot enough to melt the butter.

The pickle chips were good, nice crunch and good seasoning, but seemed like they’d been sitting out awhile.

The seasoned rice didn’t seem to have any seasoning, and some of it was soft while other pieces were very hard.

The loaded hashbrown casserole seemed lacking. The hashbrowns were kinda bland, bacon was a little overdone, and the cheese didn’t compensate enough for the rest.

The chicken strips were a little dry but had a good taste.

It did take awhile to get served, and refills were not very quick (Eric was making his rounds and doing his best, he just had a lot of tables with little help).

We thankfully were not in a hurry as we are overnighting here in our RV, and we do always appreciate the locations that let us park overnight!

Went there for lunch and ordered breakfast food. Was a little disappointed with the amount of scrambled eggs, seemed more like one egg only. But other than that, food was good. Service was okay, not great. But they were also pretty busy. So understandable. Overall, can’t go wrong with Cracker Barrel.

We had high hopes, no wait, the place was clean, and our drinks came out quick.
Asked our waitress for silverware, she never brought them. Had to flag down another waitress to get some
Biscuits seemed a little different. Not as soft and fluffy. We ordered the campfire meals and they came back about 10 min later and told us it would take 45 mins and asked if we wanted to order something else (the place was not busy). Then that food didnt come out when everyone else’s came out… then it came out and it was partially raw and the waitress didn’t come back out for another 10 mins with his other side where we just asked them to take it off.
They were out of the beef campfire plate. Brought our food and then was out of brown gravy. And then they weren’t. The chicken and dumplings has 1 piece of chicken in it. The fried tenders were good and so was the peach lemonade.

We eat at Cracker Barrel’s all over so we are familiar. First time visit to this location, traveling through on vacation. Service was decent other than my husbands coffee cup sat empty for awhile. When my pancakes came I lifted the top one to butter the bottom one and it looked disgusting like it was in a dirty grill or had been dropped on the floor. I know our kind waitress would have gotten me new ones but we were pressed for time. Husband had biscuit and gravy, the gravy was very congealed. Everything we had seemed over cooked and had been sitting in a warmer. Staff we interacted with were all very nice. Food was very disappointing as I really like Cracker Barrel. We would not recommend this location.

We were here on Sunday evening. The service was great. The food was decent. Prices were reasonable. If you like country food you will like this place. Some food, such as fried cat fish, was out. Staff said the truck comes on Monday. By Sunday, some of them were out. I really liked my grilled trout fish with corn and hush puppies.

This past Saturday, May 17th, 2025, I had a truly disturbing experience at this Cracker Barrel location. As a long-time, devoted patron of Cracker Barrel, I have always appreciated the comforting atmosphere and the reliably delicious homestyle cooking. It has always been my go-to for a comforting meal after a long week.

During this particular visit, I ordered one of my usual favorites, which included the collard greens. While enjoying my meal, I encountered a shockingly unpleasant texture in my mouth – something hard and distinctly crunchy. Upon discreetly removing the item from my mouth to inspect it, I was met with the horrifying realization that it was a large cockroach.

Naturally, I was quite taken aback and frankly, disgusted. However, I remained calm and politely informed my server, who was absolutely lovely and attentive. She immediately expressed concern and promptly notified the manager on duty.

Unfortunately, the manager’s response was far from satisfactory. Instead of acknowledging the severity of the situation, the manager attempted to dismiss my concerns by suggesting that the insect was merely a part of the “Hamhawk” often cooked with the collard greens. This explanation was not only implausible given the distinct anatomy of the creature I observed, but it also felt deeply disrespectful and dismissive of my genuine distress. I am one hundred percent certain of what I found in my food.

While I understand that unforeseen issues can occasionally arise in any food service establishment, the attempt to gaslight me into believing that a cockroach was a normal ingredient is simply unacceptable. This experience has unfortunately tainted my perception of a restaurant I have consistently held in high regard.

I sincerely hope that Cracker Barrel takes this incident seriously and implements stringent measures to ensure the cleanliness and quality control of their food preparation. While my server was exceptional, the manager’s handling of this situation was deeply disappointing and has left me hesitant to return in the near future. It is with considerable regret that I must share this negative experience.

We arrived at a good time – before the dinner rush. Our server, Lloyd, was fantastic! We received our meals quickly. The food was perfectly cooked and delicious. Lloyd went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed.
