It can be hit and miss but my ethnic coworkers have said it’s the closest to authentic Mexican that they’ve ever had.

In the mood for street tacos and found this place highly recommended. Very friendly staff and cool vibe. Ordered chips and guacamole, and three street tacos: steak, fish, and shrimp. Everything was amazing! Street tacos had generous amount of meat on each… highly recommend!

Best authentic street tacos around! Don’t sleep on this little spot. If you drive by it stop and buy and get a taco, or if you’re like me I can’t drive by it and not stop, I buy 6 with chips and queso with fresh jalapeños in it. I’ve eaten here 20 plus times and it’s been great everytime. These ladies are so sweet and funny, the atmosphere is always lighthearted and fun. They each go out of their way to make sure the customer is happy.

Having spent many years in the southwest, primarily Arizona and Southern California I like to think I’m familiar with ‘real’ Mexican food. But I haven’t had any in over 12 years until this past weekend at Habanero’s. The restaurants in Brevard prepare and serve Americanized Mexican cuisine, and while there’s some places that do it well, it’s still not true Mexican. Everything at Habanero’s is made from scratch based on the way this cuisine is done in Mexico. Tamales actually done in corn husks, shredded beef that’s flavored perfectly and shredded pork that melts in your mouth. Do your taste buds a favor and give this family owned taqueria a shot, you will not be disappointed.

We were looking for a Mexican restaurant on our way home from the beach. There’s a lot of restaurants around, but chose this one for the reviews. Made a great choice. Service is excellent. Our server was really nice and attentive and answered our questions nicely. The food came out quickly and fresh. Everything was excellent the taste of the food was on point. The only thing I recommend them is changing the cut of meat they use for the carne asada plate. It needs to be thinner with less fat. But the seasoning is excellent on it so don’t change that!. Besides that everything was great and will definitely return.
