Oh, my godI feel like I died and went to heaven. The french crullers are so light, so tasty and absolutely amazing. Saturdays only get yours in.

A cute little local place to get donuts. The custard filled was actually the best custard filled donut I’ve ever had but everything else was okay. The buttermilk bars were really really dry but maybe if I tried them fresh they’d be better? The peanut butter filled was so hyped up and then it was just peanut butter in a donut, which is good if you like that kind of thing. The chocolate cake donuts would be comparable to Top Pot Seattle chocolate cake donuts which is really good. The service was great, they were kind and friendly and quick. No wait. I’d go back for the custard definitely.

Great donuts, you get a bakers dozen for your money. Use to be open 24 hours a day until we pretended the flu was a “pandemic” hours now are shorter. Always fresh, very tasty and friendly service is a guarantee. If your in CDA or the neighboring towns and need a donut fix this is a good bet.

My first time going here and there were literally 2 or 3 kinds of donuts left to choose from. They said they weren’t making more until later today. I had to use the bathroom, or I wouldn’t have. It was so dirty and gross. The door had dirty handprints all over it, and something leaking down it from top to bottom.

Good donuts, but they change staff too often. Consistency in food quality is a major issue. It would be nice if they invested a little more into the interior seating area.

The Donut House – Where Hope Goes to Die Glazed

Somewhere between a fever dream and a misguided Pinterest board lies The Donut House — a name that conjures warmth, indulgence, maybe a hint of nostalgia. But what you get instead is a sad, half-hearted sugar mirage that makes you question your life choices by the second bite.

Let’s start with the chocolate cake donut — the beige wallpaper of baked goods. Dry. Flavorless. As exciting as a Monday morning staff meeting. It’s the kind of donut that makes you check the date on your receipt and wonder if they handed you something from last week’s batch, reheated with a prayer and zero shame.

Then there’s the maple bacon bar — the main event, the headline act, the abomination. Imagine if a cafeteria maple bar and a strip of chewy gas station bacon had an unholy tryst in the back of a microwave. That’s what this is. The bacon doesn’t crisp, it limps. It drags across your tongue like a wet sock soaked in disappointment. The maple glaze? Sickly sweet and chemically tan, like it was focus-grouped by people who’ve never tasted maple syrup or joy.

This isn’t culinary innovation. It’s the stuff of dumpster fires — and not even the kind you warm your hands over. The Donut House doesn’t just miss the mark — it’s firing blanks from the bottom of a flavorless pit. Save your money, your time, and your palate. Even the gas station down the road knows how to fry dough with a little dignity.

1 star — and that’s me being generous.

Food, like life, is an adventure—sometimes a thrilling ride, sometimes a slow-moving disaster. This one? More of a tragic misstep, like a tourist ordering fugu from a guy with a twitchy eye. But hey, we eat, we learn, we survive—mostly. Until next time, may your meals be memorable for the right reasons. Join me at Northwest Chef Food Reviews on Facebook for better food discoveries.

My black coffe was excellent but the barista, Alex, was kinda rude. I tried to talk to her about my day and tell her about my conversation with my extremely beautiful girlfriend the night before but she did not listen to me. Her boss was standing behind her and I think he wanted to hear what I had to say but I couldn’t tell.
I give the black coffe five stars but Alex Roach (yes I looked her up), I give you 4.9 stars. Maybe you should listen to my stories next time. I have a life too you know
See attached for pictures of the coffee, it was great.
