We’re a family-owned, 100% Jersey dairy farm located in the heart of the Berkshires, Massachusetts. Our line of traditional and specialty creamery products include farm-fresh milk & cream, chocolate milk, egg nog (seasonal), slow-churned butter varieties, cultured ghee, artisanal cheese, and premium ice cream. Stop by our store, the Farmstead Creamery, to get a refreshing ice cream cone and sit out at one of our picnic tables as our Jersey cattle herd grazes in the nearby fields. All of our products, as well as a selection of other locally produced goods, are available for sale at the shop. Don’t live nearby? We ship our cheese, butter, and merchandise nationwide!

Great ice cream made right on the farm with natural ingredients from the cows staring at you. They also have a good selection of homemade cheeses and meats. Lovely setting with nice views all around. Friendly staff in the company store and creamery. Worth a visit.

Our visit to High Lawn Farm was the absolute highlight of our trip. It’s no wonder this was the #1 recommendation from every local we asked! The experience is pure magic—getting to pet the baby cows for free is a memory my family won’t forget. The young staff behind the counter were incredibly professional and gave us stellar recommendations. If you leave without getting the ice cream flight, you’ll be doing yourself a disservice. I was also deeply impressed by how responsible the team is; when a customer accidentally broke a candle, they handled the cleanup instantly and safely. Huge kudos to this team—we will be back!

My new favorite ice cream. Rhubarb ginger and lemon poppy were incredible. The farm is adorable and very kid friendly. The “Taste of the Herd” is the best option for the price.
I only wish the store/deli was larger. It was super crowded and you could barely walk through.

Wow this place is truly special! They serve the freshest, most delicious ice cream located in an idyllic countryside location surrounded by rolling hills and dairy cows. They also have a little country store that sells all kinds of local food items including their own milk, cheeses and meats. High Lawn Farm and Creamery have bred a special Jersey breed of dairy cattle that produces milk with higher concentrations of protein and calcium than average milk. This results in extra smooth cream for milk, cheese, and ice cream. High Farm’s ice cream contains 16% fat — that’s the highest amount of fat in which ice cream can have. Unfortunately, we arrived after 4 pm and missed visiting the calf barn. It’s free to the public and is a must-see when there. Ice cream is available from the counter inside the farm store or from the window outside. High Lawn dairy and meat products can be found inside the Store, even shipped to wherever you wish. The single cup consists of two scoops (different flavors if desired). It was plenty and a good bargain. Our flavors were lemon poppy, chocolate mint, rhubarb-ginger, and black raspberry with dark chocolate chips. We had a great time.

Wonderful views and delicious ice cream! For ice cream, I recommend getting the herd option which is much cheaper than getting individual scoops, if you are with a group of 4+. Their cheese store has a variety of fresh cheeses and they also sell goat cheese, which was a huge plus. You can pet the baby/teenager cows in the nursery. Great place to refresh and also bring kids!

A happy place to see happy people with ice creams. Nature, cows, smell … all generations look happy with ice creams. Feel a little bit sorry after seeing cows in cages.
p.s. Young staffs need training to work properly. Working in food service, using a cell phone while wearing disposable gloves, touching everything while wearing gloves, working dirty, giving napkins finger printed with ice cream, not scooping properly… paid almost $10 for 2 scoops but each scoop was 1/3 size. It was less than 1 full scoop. Ice cream was good though.
