Honestly, ive loved this restaurant for so long but, I recently just went tonight and it was not it the food was not good made me sick after. Also since when did they start charging for more salsa and dont full the bottle? The service was fine i guess. The meals together costed $51 and it did not meet expectation at all my family did not like it. Hopefully next time will be better but I doubt we will come back any time soon. I very much enjoy this restaurant. The staff are always friendly. The food is always good. During busy times the restaurant is loud. I highly recommend the chorizopollo burrito. I’m not fully sure. I got the name of that correct but you’ll get it when you look at the menu. Lol. This may be my favorite restaurant in Clinton, Illinois.

The waitress yesterday was extremely rude at 1 pm when we were there. She was bothered by the fact I wanted a to go cup. She was bothered by the fact I wanted my taco salad without the tortilla shell and was bothered by the fact my mom said she didn’t want the chips at our table because she is diabetic. My mom told them she wanted her taco salad without the tortilla bowl like mine and they brought it to her in the bowl anyway! Our waitress needs a different job! Then she decided to go in the back where we could see her and talk crap to the other help. When my mom asked the chips be removed the man left them there anyway! Good food isn’t worth irresponsible treatment. I tipped after my mom said I shouldn’t have because I’m still someone who tips. However they missed out on an amazing tip instead of a mediocre as I had just left $20 for each of my nail technicians. If it’s a language barrier then learn …but if it’s an attitude barrier then get a different job

The Quasadillas and Carna rellano Poblano peppers was great. But, they charged extra for Verde sauce WHY?
The Carna Asada was cooked exceptionally.

I’m all the way from London England. I’ve been to Mexico, and I still think this is my favourite Mexican restaurant I’ve ever been to. Somehow ended up here because my partner’s family lives here and I’m glad I did. Salsa, hot sauce and tacos were awesome.
Please start a location in London and save me from the bad Mexican food in England.

Very unassuming building on west side of Clinton Illinois. Once inside you’ll see a very well painted mural of rural Mexico and plenty of seating. Very attentive wait staff. Extensive menu. I had a lunch special combo and was really pleased. Food was delicious and flavorful and surprisingly inexpensive. Would highly recommend.

Excellent service the place was packed and we were seated immediately and waited on. Delicious food. The only complaint is that I asked for corn tortillas and they brought me flour. Other than that absolutely great!

Lunch menus are only for ground beef meals. If you want to substitute with chicken you have to pay extra (only Mexican restaurant that does so). It seems that there was a change in ownership or management, since service is very bad. Our server showed up only once (to collect payment) after taking our order. Will not return. There are many better Mexican restaurants nearby.
