Swampy’s was such a great experience! The gator bites were fresh, juicy, and full of flavor. The red beans and rice with andouille sausage was absolutely amazing—perfectly seasoned and hearty. We also tried the shrimp appetizer, which was fresh and delicious.
On top of the food, the atmosphere was beautiful and really set the tone for a fun evening. The highlight was definitely the live singer playing steel drums, which added an awesome touch to the whole vibe.
Highly recommend Swampy’s for anyone looking for fresh food, great flavors, and a unique, enjoyable dining experience!

I’m giving this place two stars and only because the bartender was great.
Some friends and I came down from the spring head on our paddleboards and we stopped at Swampy’s to grab lunch.
I ordered the shrimp ceviche. It was basically whole, boiled shrimp thrown into some watery salsa. There was no acid and no real flavor except gross salsa. I took one bite and sent it away. I decided to give them another try and ordered their “specialty” which is the gator bites. They were 100xs better than the salsa shrimp, but still not great. Half the pieces I got were gristly and popped in my mouth like chewing rubber bands. Also the remoulade was a bit thin, but did have nice flavor.
One of my friends ordered the swamp salad and asked for no green onions. When her salad arrived it was full of partially cut green onion pieces. She decided to just pick them out and let it go. Then the bartender came up with a while be salad, without her asking, because not only did hers have a ton of green onion but they’d left off the bacon which she hadn’t even noticed.
Oh, and when we asked to be seated and told the waitress that we had one other person arriving shortly we were refused seating and told we had to wait for our other party to arrive. We ended up hanging at the bar and then sat ourselves at one of the tables out by the parking lot.
So, while I absolutely would not eat here again, I’d stop after a long paddle for a cold beer.

Nice place to go. Service was very good and atmosphere was great (weather was cool), loved watching the otters. Food wasn’t bad. Sitting by the river was quite relaxing.

Food is good, good flavors! The setting is really nice, on the Rainbow River. Family friendly, Group Friendly but on what I ordered which was the fish and chips, the price needs to match the portion. I also asked for a sample of a couple of sauces that is used in a couple of plates, and they brought me a bowl of each. Which it wasn’t explain to me by the girl that took my order, not my waitress it was someone else. And then I was charge $9 for both of the sauces, I was only expecting a small amount to taste. So next time I can determine what other plates with those sauces I can order. I guess I paid for the view too ♂️

It’s so lovely sitting on the water as you enjoy a great dish of shrimp, andouille sausage grits in a cream sauce. Dessert was Banana Foster Bread Pudding. Yum! Service was great.

Hostesses were top notch, friendly and quick to get us to our table and said Goodbye on our way out.
Service was SLOW. The staff was friendly enough, but everything took too long.
Food… We had Gumbo, which was served on rice. It was pretty good, but a little too thick to be gumbo.
Entrees: shrimp & crawfish ettoufe was OK. Very, very spice.
Red beans and sausage was terrible. Tasted like they put a cup of liquid smoke on the dish. We ended up throwing both out when we got home with leftovers. Both dishes looked like they sat under a heat lamp for awhile, also.
Location was great, right on the Rainbow River.

Had had a party of of five. There’s a short wait but plenty of larger bench type tables for big parties. The waitress was friendly and efficient and everyone was pleased with their orders. Pictured is the mahi shrimp or lanes which was recommended and I believe their signature dish. Was a good size portion of mahi, lots of shrimp and it did have a bit of spicy bite to it which required extra fill-ups on the sweet tea! The atmosphere is casual outdoors along water. Highly recommend!
