A pre theatre treat on a wet winter night. The warm welcome and cosy atmosphere soon shook off the darkness from outside.
With pre drinks down stairs with no pressure to take our table in the restaurant upstairs.
Staff were very attentive meeting our needs all evening.
Service was good in nice environment, the food quality was fantastic and portion size above expectations but good value for money.
Highly recommend

Used to be my favourite restaurant. Been going with my partner for 6 years now.
Our experiences with the husband and wife working there were so joyful. They always put a smile on our faces and the food was always delicious.

Not now.

We booked for Valentine’s Day, as it’s usually busy this time of year and we didn’t want to miss out.
We entered, noticing it was rather empty, a total of 5 other couples were there.
We waited to be seated for a few minutes until the two waitresses finally noticed us standing there.
One of them came over and waved in the general direction of the tables and said to us to just pick one.
We did. Sat down, and noticed the table was dirty. Not the end of the world. We dusted all of the crumbs off ourselves and sat down.

We decided what we wanted and waited for the waitress to take our drinks order.
We waited a little longer and no one came.
Looking around, other diners were poking and prodding their food which we thought was odd because we’ve always loved it here.

We waited 20 minutes and no one came over.
In the end we noticed someone from one of the other tables get up and go and get the waitress so she could order food, as they were also sick of waiting.
We did the same so we could order. After we said what drinks we wanted the waitress walked away before we could order food so we had to flag her down again to order dinner.

This wouldn’t be the worst moment in the world if the restaurant was busy, but all together there were 6 tables of 2 to look after and two waitresses who stayed behind the counter. They didn’t check in on any tables and a lot of the time kept going round the corner, I wouldn’t be surprised if they were on their phones.

Unfortunately this is when my partner and I noticed one of the waitresses picking her nose in full view of the customers.

The food arrived.
The starter arrived after the mains.
My food was cold, my partners was wrong and when it came back out a second time it was somehow burnt to a crisp and also cold.
The chips looked still frozen, or at least picked up from McDonald’s.
I was so hungry from waiting I still ate my cold food but my partner couldn’t eat his.

We were grateful that we didn’t have to pay for his food and was given a discount on the rest, but being all glammed up for Valentine’s Day and ending up having to get a kebab, where the customer service was vastly better, is a bit of a downer.

My Girlfriend and I have been here every Valentines day for the past six years, and every other year we have loved it. But this year was awful.
We were completely ignored by the service staff in the restaurant, and had to ask to order drinks after 20mins, then had to call them over to order food, which took a very long time.
The servers were on their phones most of the time and one was picking her nose in full view of customers.
When the food did come out the starter came after the mains, my Girlfriends duck confit was cold and my order was wrong. I sent mine back and when it came out it was inedible.
We left hungry and disappointed. After years of loving it here we will never be coming back. Such a shame.

We celebrated a birthday lunch for six at Auberge on Sunday, and it was a wonderful experience. The staff were welcoming and attentive, making us feel special throughout the celebration. The atmosphere was cozy and relaxed, perfect for our group to enjoy good food and great company. The menu offered a fantastic variety, and everyone found something to love. The pasta with prawns had a very generous helping of prawns! The team even helped accommodate our group’s needs smoothly, adding to the ease of the occasion. The excellent key lime cheesecake arrived with a candle for the birthday boy. We were travelling from different parts of the country and wanted somewhere close to the station that wasn’t a chain, so Auberge was perfect. I would highly recommend Auberge for anyone looking to celebrate a special occasion with delicious food near Waterloo station.

I had a wonderful time with my friends, although the entrance was a bit confusing. However, once inside, we enjoyed calamari and shared plates, which included slices of ham, pieces of bread, and olives. Everything was delicious.

The Camden Pale Ale was especially outstanding; if you’re a beer lover, it’s a must-try. Additionally, the staff were very friendly.

We even had the pleasure of hearing a nice chorus.

If you find yourself travelling through London Waterloo, then this place is definitely worth the stop. Although its prices are on a par with somewhere like the Boulevard Brasserie, the food isn’t quite ip to the same standard. HOWEVER, this is more than made up for by the quality of service and the friendliness of the staff. I was served by the delightful Kaira and thoroughly enjoyed conversing with the Italian lady at the bar, whose name I forgot to ask. I genuinely felt welcome, and for this reason alone, I would not hesitate to return. The food was good: I enjoyed the Provence-style mussels, with fresh baguette. The portion was particularly generous and steaming hot. Although I didn’t visit, I understand that there is an upstairs terrasse. The background music was pleasant as too was the atmosphere. Seating was comfortable and spacious. I look forward to revisiting in the evening when I don’t have to rush back to the office!

Came here during Fork discount offer where they do 50% off on all food order. The presentation of French food was good. However, taste wise, the escargot was over cooked and could not really taste well the flavour. Although the tuna tartare saves it a bit. The grilled prawn wasn’t the best taste. Steak was cooked alright and mussels in white wine sauce was great taste. Dessert chocolate fudge was yummy to taste. Overall, it is nice place to come with good food.

Friendly staff, good service, and good food (mostly). Beef bourguignon was tasty and tender. Moules were fresh and tasty. However, the escargots and fries seemed to be over-cooked. The escargots shrunk and quite tough.
