I walked in on a sunny Winter’s day at 12:30 pm because I wanted to check out the Indian buffet. The restaurant was so hot I was sweating within moments.

I’d dropped in about 3:30 pm a couple of weeks earlier and everything in the buffet was old and overcooked. The naan (I love good naan) was in a warmer, and it was dreadful. It had collapsed completely (about 1/8th of an inch thick) and was as floppy as uncooked pizza dough, but thinner.

So I figured today I’d arrive at a time when the kitchen had time to get everything out on display.

What a disappointment! The naan was the same awful naan I’d had before, in it’s steel covered container where it had already sweated and turned back into a soggy mess.

Suggestion: cook smaller quantities and put the naan out in a basket where it will stay crispy.

All of the meat dishes tasted like the meat had been over-cooked in a pan, then tossed into the sauce that have the dish its name. It didn’t have to wait a further 3 hours in the warmer: every meat was already overcooked.

Ambience? Loud clangy Bollywood through really dreadful tiny speakers. Some older ladies asked for the music to be turned down, but as soon as they left, the volume went up again.

I’m still sampling dishes, and I’ll finish this review when I’ve finished my sampling.

What a stroke of luck! The kitchen delivered freshly-cooked naan just now, and I got a piece totally fresh. It had a slightly crisp surface layer, but it was undercooked by my standards.

Naan continues to develop after the end of cooking. The crust crisps up more, it cools rapidly, and it should keep its bubbly texture (the crust helps this happen).

But this naan was immediately put into a closed stainless steel container where it will be a sweaty mess within 5 minutes. It will lose all its structure and have no crust at all.

I mentioned the issues with the food to the staff. Their sauces are delicious. If there chef can improve his naan management and stop overcooking the meat, and do something about the music, this place would have a much bigger clientele.

I show the naan in a photo. It’s soft and about the thickness of a dinner plate.

My friends and I got dinner here tonight and I am celiac and lactose intolerant and the staff was extremely friendly and cooked everything and made it gluten free and lactose free even when the original recipe wasn’t that way so I could eat it. They accommodated every allergy and were super friendly. Not only that, but the food was absolutely amazing and so so so tasty. My friends got the butter chicken and naan and loved it. I got the tandoori chicken, a salad, and the vegetable biryani and it was so so so so yummy. The staff was so awesome and friendly!!! Needed to emphasize that again!!! Definitely coming back here again!!! Thank you guys so much.

Restaurant owner – I am sincerely trying to be nice, as much as I can, and normally do not do poor reviews, but todays experience was shameful and I hope this review changes things for the positive with your restaurant. Nice = complimenting the service and atmosphere in this review.

Pros: Nice restaurant, has potential, probably a good place to host a small gathering. Friendly lady greeter. Good plaza location

Cons: Really disgusting buffet today! Not much variety, you can tell it was frozen fish pakoras warmed up, doughy naan that stretches when you pull it apart, very cold mixed vegetable sabji, so much turmeric on the 1 piece of tandoori chicken that I ate, my fingers and teeth became stained (washed 9 times at the restaurants dirty bathroom and still barely came off). Only other protein provided was chicken curry and goat curry, both I was not brave enough to try do to how it looked. My wife and I ate 1/2 of our 1st plate and left. I currently feel sick and nauseous. Please do better, improve your quality of food. Cant believe I donated $28 to this place.

Wow, talk about flavor!!! Everything we ordered for our dinner was super delicious. Every sauce delivered a punch of flavor. Tandoori chicken was moist (idk how they do it here to get it that way because the meat in this dish in all other places I tried is usually on the dry side), butter chicken was heavenly, garlic naan bread was spectacular though next time I’ll order plain as we all tasted garlic for hours to come (no big deal if you prepare yourself for that keepingin mind that the taste is worth it, lol). I honestly can’t remember all the names of the dishes, but we tried 6 or 7 different things, and everything was great. The host was very pleasant and helped us with order explaining the menu as best as he could. The place was very clean and it’s amazing how different it looks painted a light color – look much bigger.
I noticed in the reviews that some people noted that prices were on the higher side. I would say that the prices were reasonable, especially considering time, special ingredients, and preparation techniques they have to use to make some of their dishes. To me, it’s worth it as it’s not something I can whip up at home and judging by the way everything tasted – these guys really take pride in their food, culture, and their business. Best Indian food restaurant in Sac and Roseville area!

This place has great potential. Atmosphere is okay but the taste of the food is amazing. The only reason I gave it a low rating is because just recently the last two times we have ordered, the amount of chicken or proteins has been significantly less in each dish. In the chicken tikka masala we got 4 super small pieces of chicken & we even came back & it happened the same. The prices are high but the taste makes it worth it.

Best Garlic nann bread anywhere! They make it fresh and eaten with the butter chicken omgggg. Heaven! Honestly as soon as you walk in it looks like nothing special. But I promise you, the food is worth it. Excellent service, very respectful waiter and all the food is delicious. Will be back next time I come to Cali.

This place is very good. I have tried a ton of different Indian restaurants in the sac area and this one is up there as one of the best! The naan is very soft. Real garlic. Chicken was very tender, tikka masala was so good! It had more of an authentic homemade flavor which I thoroughly enjoyed. The vegetable samosa was large and crispy and extra flavorful as well as the sauces to dip it in. Overall so good!

One of the most amazing food that I had in a long time in US.

The restaurant doesn’t have the best of the ambience. Their music system was bad/ irritating. Their restrooms are in a really bad state.

But the chef inside is killin’ it. Food was amazing. We ordered Chola Bhatura. It was one of the biggest Bhatura. And it was super tasty as well.

Perhaps more suitable for Doordash. BayArea restaurants should learn from this one.
