I feel like it’s always a big controversy over what is “authentic” but I feel this place is the most authentic Mexican restaurant in Lafayette area. The gentleman who waited on us was cracking all kinds of jokes and even other times the staff is polite and very eager to serve, this is a different experience then what you’ll get at other places locally. I feel that’s what gives it the authentic feel. Always 2 for 1 margs and the “Broussard Choice” (menu item) is amazing. Prices are reasonable and the venue has the authentic feel as well. Great job La Hacienda.

Really really wonderful! The restaurant is farther from our home than local competitors but way worth the drive! Really nice decor creates a great date spot. The menu has a really nice selection to flip through. Something for everyone. More standard dishes plus Cajun themed. Portions are BIG. (Husband’s hand in pic for size reference) Quick and delicious.

3 of us went for drinks after work and was extremely disappointed. Despite being the only ones there at the time, we had to constantly search for our server. Also the margaritas were weak and not very tasty. Food was decent but with not worth putting up with lackluster service and pitiful margaritas. We will definitely not be returning.

Ordered chicken with onion, poblano, and steamed veggies on the side. Some of the veggies were slightly cold but overall the food was good. Place seemed a little lacking of customers at lunch time. Only a few workers visible. Staff was friendly but didn’t see waitress for a while.
