Danny’s is a great, locally owned diner. The food is consistent and comes out hot and tasty. I recommend getting the pancakes, they are big and fluffy. Service is always friendly with a smile. It’s very easy to become a regular here. This is also a place that doesn’t break the bank to dine out and they don’t nickel and dime you.

The pictures are definitely misleading based on what you can order. Honestly it was like a locally owned Waffle House for breakfast… my sausage gravy wasn’t mixed,I had to do that with the white gravy and cut up sausage patty that came in the bowl. Nothing stood out to come back other than its locally owned. I wanted to like it more. The people were nice.

My husband & I recently visited. We’ve been looking for a local “country” cooking type place & their menu seemed to fit that. It’s a very small place , which is fine. No complaints there. The server we had, was just terrible. We ordered our drinks, sweet tea & a coffee. No straws, no creamer, so we asked & she said “usually I ask if you want straws” …. Okay, well she didn’t ask us & im not sure why she even said that. Food wise, I ordered hamburger, steak and gravy, with vegetables on the side and she asked me that I want Texas toast or a roll. I told her I would like a roll, when my food came out, she had given me Texas toast, and when I had asked her can I please have the role, you could tell that she was very bothered because every time she came to our table, we were having to remind her to bring things that she didn’t give us when we were seated. My husband ordered a Philly steak and cheese sub with french fries, when she gave him his plate it had about 6 French fries on the plate, and she said well I’ll give you some more… she just seemed to not know how to do anything. Maybe We picked the wrong time to go eat there. Maybe we picked the wrong food items off the menu. But the service was absolutely terrible, the hamburger steak was burnt on the bottom and the top. It was like chewing leather. The hamburger steak and gravy didn’t have hardly any gravy on it, so I had to ask who I’m assuming is the owner, for some extra gravy. It was just like we had to keep asking for things, keep reminding the waitress What parts of our plate we were missing, what parts of our plate that we specifically didn’t ask for. So if you like a restaurant that seems to cater to their regular customers, and the older people that were in there were so rude as my husband is paying and I’m putting our food in to go boxes, a regular customer started hounding my husband about if we were ever going to leave because they needed a seat. It was so rude. We won’t be back but If you like a hole in the wall, where your waitress doesn’t know how to do her job this is the place for you

Great local place for an excellent breakfast on a cold rainy day. Short stack French toast, hash browns with ham & cheese, grits, egg and Bacon. Staff is genuinely friendly. We’ll be back for sure.

In light of the concerns expressed by the manager of this esteemed establishment, I feel compelled to clarify once more that I have no affiliation with any potentially competing enterprises. The location of your restaurant, situated directly across from the police station and virtually at the heart of the city, positions it as a prime culinary destination. It is worth noting that the only other food vendor in close proximity is a hot dog stand that suffers from a rather dubious reputation, rendering the notion of substantial competition in your immediate vicinity nonsensical.

I would like to reiterate that I was merely a transient visitor — a weary traveler seeking to satiate my hunger in a timely manner, with the intention of spending no more than five minutes attending to my lunch. Regrettably, my experience was rather disheartening. Despite the fact that the restaurant appeared to be operational and bustling with patrons indoors, I found the front door to be locked. Moreover, my attempts to engage the staff went completely unacknowledged, leaving me perplexed and frustrated.

What truly intrigues me is the stark observation that after traversing the entirety of the downtown area, your establishment was the sole venue teeming with activity. Everything else was either shuttered for the day or utterly devoid of patrons. It raises an essential question: from whence does this so-called competition arise? The idea seems to belong entirely to the realm of conjecture, devoid of any basis in reality.

In my opinion, this scenario not only highlights the unique position your restaurant occupies within the local gastronomic landscape, but also reflects an opportunity for introspection and improvement. A restaurant that remains inaccessible to potential customers cannot thrive, regardless of its favorable location or the quality of its offerings. It is imperative to recognize that customer engagement, as well as operational accessibility, are paramount to fostering positive relationships with those who seek to patronize your business.

In conclusion, while I understand that concerns surrounding competition are not unfounded in today’s market, I encourage you to consider the realities of your specific context. The true threat, it would seem, lies not in external competitors, but rather in the internal practices that may inadvertently alienate diners eager for a meal. It would serve your establishment well to remain cognizant of these dynamics as you move forward.

Nothing says “booming local economy” like a restaurant that weekends like a bank — doors shut by noon. Either the owner’s chasing tee times, or the town’s disposable income clocks out right after pancakes. When brunch is your closing bell, that’s not a vibe; that’s a data point.

First time experience, food was good and everyone was so nice. I had the classic burger with potato tots, it was delicious. My friend had meatloaf with squash and broccoli casserole, it was really good too.

Danny’s Cafe was hands down the best cater for my wedding. I got married 06-22-2024, and 6 months prior I lost my original cater, sadden and stress I was in desperate need of a new cater. Tyler came in and saved us! He gave us a private tasting which was phenomenal, took the time to answer all my questions. Though out the entire wedding planning Danny’s cafe was amazing! The day finally came Tyler, Danny and their entire team blew it out of the park! Everyone raved how amazing their food was! Tyler served us right after blessing was announced so we were able to eat right away! From set up, to dinner, to break down, to the cake cutting, the whole team handle it all! You can see the pride they take with serving their customers! From the bottom of my heart I am truly honored and grateful to have had Danny’s Cafe at my wedding! It will be a memory I could and won’t ever forget. I strongly recommend the grilled chicken with goat cheese, it will forever be my favorite!

Danny’s is great! I don’t know how they do it because lunch hour gets really hectic. I mean back to back to back order and walk-ins. Top staff and service! I had the grilled chicken pita lunch special served with fries and sweet tea . This meal provided great value and good portion size. The pita tasted great, the fries were warm and seasoned, and the sweet tea mixed to perfection. While watching them cook my food, the dozen other tickets that followed, I saw them prepare the greatest looking steak and cheese sandwich. I will be back for that, no questions asked. They also prepared a big burger that looked yummy. This is nice local spot. Bring friends because they have enough space, but just not particularly set up for large groups. The location is also great.
