The staff and ambiance:
The staff was amazing and we loved the ambiance. We felt very immersed in the movie and it was magical to get the dishes at the same time throughout the movie.
The conflict:
The first course didn’t feel cohesive to the rest of the menu. It was an odd addition to make and despite not liking it we carried on and tried to enjoy the rest of the menu.
I feel like the rest of the menu was pretty spot on for the movie. However, our food came out lukewarm at best. Part of me juggled the fact that it’s an 8 course meal for around 50 people at the same exact time (super hard to do) but also remembering I spent like $200 to eat here.
The verdict:
We felt super conflicted because it was magical to have all the food arrive at specific points in the movie but the food itself just wasn’t warm, like not even under a heat lamp type of warm.
Overall, the event was good. I just don’t know if I can justify the $200 for cold food?
The food is unbelievably delicious, creatively crafted to each movie scene, and the ambience is toned to the theme as well.
Thank you Under Wraps team for creating such a fun event!
Wagyu smashburger was bonkers, the A5 wagyu nigiri as well as the striped seabass was insane. Everything was incredible, it was truly a culinary experience. I would say the only criticism I have of the whole restaurant was using canned soda instead of fountain drinks with free refills. It’s nice to cleanse your pallet with a coke but when you’re paying for every single one you drink you go light on it and it just bummed out our whole table that they didn’t have fountain drinks, it was the only complaint that anybody had.
Great experience overall and I highly recommend. Vibe of the place was great, each menu item is carefully curated and spectacular.
Their yakisoba with rice and chicken is absolute perfection—comforting, flavorful, and completely crave-worthy. It’s the dish I dream about and the reason this is hands-down my favorite restaurant in Utah County. Thoughtful options, incredible flavor, and a place that proves you don’t need to eat everything on the menu to fall in love.
If you haven’t tried it yet, you have to.
We made a Friday night reservation and arrived right on time. The restaurant was nearly empty (maybe six other guests total), yet we were barely greeted when we walked in. I had to approach the bar to let them know we had arrived. After giving our reservation name and party size, the staff member simply waved her hand toward the window and said, “It’s the third one in.” The interaction felt dismissive and unwelcoming, setting a negative tone immediately.
As we sat down, we noticed an anime playing behind the bar, which was actually pretty cool (though not family-friendly). However, instead of the show’s audio, random indie rock music was playing through the speakers. It felt disconnected and confusing. The décor overall was surprisingly plain and lacked the immersive or fun vibe you would expect from an anime-inspired restaurant.
The menu was very sparse. The hand rolls were incredibly simplistic. We ordered several hand rolls, poke nachos, and a couple of specialty drinks. The drinks were fine, but the food was extremely underwhelming.
The hand rolls (about 4 inches long) were only filled about two-thirds of the way, with nearly an inch of excess seaweed on both ends. The fillings were minimal, and the rolls themselves were barely an inch in diameter. Flavor-wise, they were completely flat.
The poke nachos were similarly disappointing — about five very small pieces of fish and maybe seven edamame beans. While it technically had more flavor than the rolls, it still wasn’t good.
We spent over $100 and left still hungry, which says a lot. We ended up going to Cinnaholic afterward just to feel satisfied.
With so many great local spots offering creative menus, welcoming service, and memorable atmospheres, this one sadly missed the mark. It had so much potential to be a rich, fun, and immersive experience, especially for anime fans, but it fell completely flat in service, atmosphere, and food quality.
I truly wanted to love it for my son’s sake. Unfortunately, I would recommend trying somewhere else.
