My husband and I went to the Feast Your Eyes event for Coraline. The staff and ambiance were great! However, we feel a little conflicted.

The staff and ambiance:
The staff was amazing and we loved the ambiance. We felt very immersed in the movie and it was magical to get the dishes at the same time throughout the movie.

The conflict:
The first course didn’t feel cohesive to the rest of the menu. It was an odd addition to make and despite not liking it we carried on and tried to enjoy the rest of the menu.
I feel like the rest of the menu was pretty spot on for the movie. However, our food came out lukewarm at best. Part of me juggled the fact that it’s an 8 course meal for around 50 people at the same exact time (super hard to do) but also remembering I spent like $200 to eat here.

The verdict:
We felt super conflicted because it was magical to have all the food arrive at specific points in the movie but the food itself just wasn’t warm, like not even under a heat lamp type of warm.
Overall, the event was good. I just don’t know if I can justify the $200 for cold food?

We attended the Feast Your Eyes event themed around The Lord of the Rings, and it was a DREAM COME TRUE. This is the 3rd one I have been to (after being completely blown away at their Spirited Away event).
The food is unbelievably delicious, creatively crafted to each movie scene, and the ambience is toned to the theme as well.
Thank you Under Wraps team for creating such a fun event!

Not exactly what we’re expecting for a sushi restaurant but it made up for it. We got the mocktails which were excellent. Two hand rolls which were fine but nothing crazy. However their sushi nachos and steak yakisoba were excellent! The best yakisoba I’ve had and I’ve had a lot lol. For where the sushi rolls didn’t quite meet expectations the vibes made up for. It’s a fun Asian/anime vibe without being over the top. Great date night!

What a phenomenal experience from start to finish. Got a ton of different options, we started off with the calamari, curry karaage, and the fried cauliflower, everything was incredible, I’d say especially the curry karaage it just knocked our socks off, it has the most amazing flavor, and the fried cauliflower was phenomenal.

Wagyu smashburger was bonkers, the A5 wagyu nigiri as well as the striped seabass was insane. Everything was incredible, it was truly a culinary experience. I would say the only criticism I have of the whole restaurant was using canned soda instead of fountain drinks with free refills. It’s nice to cleanse your pallet with a coke but when you’re paying for every single one you drink you go light on it and it just bummed out our whole table that they didn’t have fountain drinks, it was the only complaint that anybody had.

Great experience overall and I highly recommend. Vibe of the place was great, each menu item is carefully curated and spectacular.

Had a mixed experience at Under Wraps. If you love sashimi, this is the place for you. The atmosphere was great. Loved the art and decorations! We had not had sashimi before. And were disappointed with the amount of food compared with the price. We had striped sea bass and salmon sashimi as well as salmon nigiri. We also had California and veggie hand rolls. I was disappointed that the gyoza we ordered, assuming it was an appetizer, came out about 3/4 of the way through the meal. Until it arrived, I was worried it had been forgotten. The presentation was wonderful. The sushi looked amazing. The gyoza was delicious. But for $60, it just wasn’t what I’d expect.

Under Wraps is the kind of place that gets into your head—in the best way. It’s so good I genuinely crave it. My husband swears it’s the best sushi in Utah, and while I’m allergic to fish and gluten (so I admire the sushi from afar), I never feel left out.

Their yakisoba with rice and chicken is absolute perfection—comforting, flavorful, and completely crave-worthy. It’s the dish I dream about and the reason this is hands-down my favorite restaurant in Utah County. Thoughtful options, incredible flavor, and a place that proves you don’t need to eat everything on the menu to fall in love.

If you haven’t tried it yet, you have to.

We took our son to Under Wraps Sushi for his 18th birthday because he loves anime and was genuinely excited to try it. Unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing from start to finish.

We made a Friday night reservation and arrived right on time. The restaurant was nearly empty (maybe six other guests total), yet we were barely greeted when we walked in. I had to approach the bar to let them know we had arrived. After giving our reservation name and party size, the staff member simply waved her hand toward the window and said, “It’s the third one in.” The interaction felt dismissive and unwelcoming, setting a negative tone immediately.

As we sat down, we noticed an anime playing behind the bar, which was actually pretty cool (though not family-friendly). However, instead of the show’s audio, random indie rock music was playing through the speakers. It felt disconnected and confusing. The décor overall was surprisingly plain and lacked the immersive or fun vibe you would expect from an anime-inspired restaurant.

The menu was very sparse. The hand rolls were incredibly simplistic. We ordered several hand rolls, poke nachos, and a couple of specialty drinks. The drinks were fine, but the food was extremely underwhelming.

The hand rolls (about 4 inches long) were only filled about two-thirds of the way, with nearly an inch of excess seaweed on both ends. The fillings were minimal, and the rolls themselves were barely an inch in diameter. Flavor-wise, they were completely flat.

The poke nachos were similarly disappointing — about five very small pieces of fish and maybe seven edamame beans. While it technically had more flavor than the rolls, it still wasn’t good.

We spent over $100 and left still hungry, which says a lot. We ended up going to Cinnaholic afterward just to feel satisfied.

With so many great local spots offering creative menus, welcoming service, and memorable atmospheres, this one sadly missed the mark. It had so much potential to be a rich, fun, and immersive experience, especially for anime fans, but it fell completely flat in service, atmosphere, and food quality.

I truly wanted to love it for my son’s sake. Unfortunately, I would recommend trying somewhere else.

They do a decent job explaining how to order but definitely felt like you got to know your sushi to really enjoy this place. The striped sea bass was like butter! Delicious! The soba noodle bowl had an interesting taste. Not to my liking but okay. The curry karaga and pot stickers were amazing! The mocktail (don’t remember the name) was also great. The anime theme was neat too, just got to get something on the walls to represent Attack on Titan and this place is golden.

4.6 stars. My favorite lunch spot in PG. A nice change of pace from burgers, tacos, or sandwich shops. Under Wraps offers an inventive spin on Japanese cuisine. The bowls are healthy delicious, the salads are crisp and fresh. Only thing lacking recently has been the calamari— way over cooked, crunchy, and tough. Hope they can remedy that situation. Still I recommend.

We love Under Wraps! The atmosphere is informal and lively. Our favorite events are the feast your eyes movie collaborations and their Omakase. Chef Skyler and team really work to make every meal an unforgettable experience!
