Great place! I came here because the cabin I stayed in highly recommended this place. The young cashier lady was so friendly and smiled the entire time, wish we had more of that customer service in Richmond! I could not decide on what I wanted so I basically got almost one of everything! My favorite was the glazed donut and the jelly filled ones! The cookies had that great homemade taste, my favorite was the raisin oatmeal I believe was the flavor.

On this day a carry out order was brought to my school of all the delicious donuts. I chose a glazed donut. I am not a donut person but have heard of how famous this bakery is and I was not disappointed. Hands-down, the best donut I have ever had and I am a fan of handmade hot fancy donuts. Great food but the worst experience ever yesterday morning (and this was not the first time with this employee)..I came in the door and one employee yelled to the back that a customer was here (not complaining about that at all)…the phone was ringing and had rung about 10 times and the woman that had came out was clearly in a very bad mood- she grabbed the phone and without saying hello or anything just says “can I put you on hold PLEASE” but it was far from in a kind way. Seconds later she mumbled to herself and clearly loud enough for me to hear- “it’s only 9 o clock!”which is crazy because where you work, I would assume your primary amount of business is going to be in the morning time. She was rude and rough when even collecting the pastries and putting into box. She was punching the register screen with her fingers, she was shaking and I could just tell and feel she wanted me gone let alone the other customers that were standing behind me. I feel like they could clearly see the vibe as well. The previous time I came in, she was serving me as well and acted the same but not anywhere near this bad. I felt so awkward and unwelcomed and had I not been buying pastries for a event I was about to host 20 mins later, I would of went elsewhere. I understand everyone has bad days but again this was not the first time and yesterday’s experience made it so I don’t want to Step foot in there again to risk being served by this person. I also NEVER leave reviews. It’s just not my thing but I walked out that door feeling like I just made her morning so much worse by being there at all. I also do not like confrontation so I continued to be as nice as possible, say please and thank you, etc.

Yummy donuts & cookies, etc. Prices are great,especially considering what you get! The cookies are thick and packed w flavor. (It must be all that butter!) The donuts are exceptional in that they seemed to be a thick yeast donut with a cake donut-like consistency. My coconut and vanilla cream was the BEST ever! Soooo good! I found it was even better with a gulp of cold milk after each bite!! I was literally full by the time I’d finished. The Corner Bakery is a simple, small town establishment that you must pay a visit to when in Onacock.

Corner Bakery is a stop we include every time we travel through the Eastern Shore. The pastries and especially the glazed donuts are our favorite! Unbelievably fresh and delicious! A small bakery located in downtown Onancock serving up amazing pastries. I purchased a variety of the donuts and buns and all were incredible. The location is easy to find and the staff was very friendly. If you enjoy sweet treats, you’ll not regret coming to Corner Bakery. @delmarvalicious

Amazing bakery that has been in business over 100 years per one of the local artisans. There was a line to the back of the store and the locals told us there is often a line down the street. My advice, get there when they first open or you may not get anything, because their food is so delicious that it sells out! We were not disappointed with the sugar cookie, glazed doughnut, cinnamon roll, or cream puff that we all shared, but we missed out on everything else that had already sold out. We’d love to have tried their Maple Bacon, Reese’s, and Strawberries and Cream Cheese doughnuts, but they were all gone! We highly recommend making a trip here! The man behind us in line traveled from Virginia Beach to get doughnuts so that lets you know just how good they are!
