Love this gem! I ordered the country style steak and mp , fried okra and dark gravy, it came with toasted bread. I also had the garden salad side ordered a hotdog with chili and slaw and the best wedge ffs in the triad for later on . The ranch is also key to dip with fries. My preference. They even have a drive through . I know they have a great salad bar inside but when you’re in a hurry and want a great dinner , you should visit backyard grill.

I think I found my new favorite place to eat while I’m in NC working a new job. I would definitely recommend this restaurant for everyone to eat at. The French fries are delicious. The service was really good I didn’t have to wait too long for my food, overall, I had a pleasant experience.

They deserve a negative rating! They made a mistake on takeout that could have a major impact due to a food allergy and could have easily been corrected without any issues. They said they would remake the food when I called so I drove back and then they gave me a hard time, making it sound like I was lying. I didn’t bring the food back but they also didn’t ask me to do that. When I asked for the mgr, she proceeded to tell me that she is short because they were very busy (apparently with other customers more important than me). I live in this community and had ordered from this establishment frequently – they said they wouldn’t remake the salads without me returning the original salad initially and then saying that I have to wait even longer because they have to recook the food (BTW it was at least 10min after I called to tell them the order was wrong) and gave me extreme attitude for a mistake that they made. I was not initially upset, mistakes happen and even though I wasn’t happy about driving back to get the right order, I didn’t complain, I wasn’t upset with the workers so imagine my shock when I was presented with the attitude and disrespect for a mistake that they made!! I asked for the owners phone number and was told that the women who was short and disrespectful IS the owner. GOOD LUCK RUNNING A BUSINESS AND TREATING YOUR REGULAR PATRONS LIKE THAT! They won’t get another penny from this family.

I went here with my family for Christmas lunch, as they were having a free meal for everyone until 6pm. Most of the staff were incredibly nice and accommodating, but there was one server who was INCREDIBLY rude to my mother. My family and I weren’t given enough plates, so she had gone up to get a set, and the young lady (with black hair and multiple facial piercings) approached the conversation with malice, insinuating that my mother was dishonest and incorrect, then raised her voice. The experience was great until this happened, and it ruined the mood for the entire meal

I guess I should’ve read all the reviews before trying this place. 1st off this place is not very clean. 2nd the staff is not familiar with menu items. Last the food taste was not horrible yet it did mess my stomach up within 30 minutes. EAT AT YOUR OWN RIsK!!

My husband and I invited some friends who were new to the area to meet us at Dave’s. It was so much fun to see them begin to notice and appreciate all the small things that make Dave’s feel like home. In today’s world of virtual this and virtual that, Dave’s puts us in touch with reality. What a blessing.
