We stopped in for dinner and were very pleased with our dining experience. What a cool place located right under the bridge with waterfront seating. We had the pretzel and fries both were served with beer cheese for our appetizers. We had the fish and chips the blackened bayou shrimp the salad with fried chicken and the hot muffaletta sandwich. Every single item was hot and seasoned very well. The service was excellent. Troll tavern exceeded our expectations.

We had a great time at Troll Tavern. The location next to the river is fantastic for a relaxed vibe. The service was friendly and efficient from the moment we walked in.
We tried Paulaner Oktoberfest and the strawberry cocktail for drinks—both were excellent. The kohlwurst was delicious and really authentic. The Reuben was one of the best my wife has had.
Overall, would definitely recommend coming back for lunch and drinks.

We come every year just for the fried pickles! The staff are kind, and very attentive! I do wish yall would bring the “troll sauce” back. But the goblin sauce is good too! We came yesterday and again today before we left town for the fried pickles! Thank you staff for the sweet experience as it’s every year! Love the atmosphere and the decor!

We stopped into the Troll Tavern for lunch during Oktoberfest. We didn’t have to wait to be seated. We enjoyed our seat outside on the patio by the water. Drinks were good, food was delicious. The Reuben was hot and juicy! The perfect amount of food! Service was a little slower than to be desired but we were in no rush. Overall good experience and would come back.

If you want to enjoy anything from a crispy burger with fries to a delicious salmon, this is a great spot. The view is incredible, right by the river, and pairs perfectly with a good beer. I would have given 5 stars, but the way they call guests to be seated is not ideal. The hosts have to shout names from outside the restaurant, and with all the noise from people passing by the river, it can be hard to hear—there’s no modern system to notify diners, so it’s easy to miss your turn. Despite this, the food and atmosphere make it worth a visit.

January 1st we had a bit of a wait which is understandable and WELL worth the wait. The fried dill pickles were exactly how I thought they would taste….Great. I had the Grilled Ruben sandwich that was amazing! Perfect location under the main street bridge (sort of, but close enough).

We came on a Sunday evening of Oktoberfest. We didn’t have to wait long, but it took over an hour for our food to be done, and the restaurant was thinned out by then. But the waiter and food was great. Rueben was excellent, chipped corned beef, and horse made thousand Island!!! No complaints on the food. Bathrooms were clean. A great stop.

Mediocre bar food with a view. The grilled chicken salad was basically a bag salad . The burger was not good and my husband didn’t finish it. All in all it was edible but not great!

Our food was amazing. Drinks even more so. Service was impeccable!!! Our waiter was body very patient and knowledgeable about the menu. Will definitely have to come back. We got the goblin burger, chicken fingers as well as the German Chocolate martini. . . Made with one of the best coconut rums I’ve ever tasted. The bar tender was great! This is a must eat at when visiting Helen. The venue has indoor and outdoor seating. We chose to sit outside by the river to watch the tubers float by and it was very enjoyable.
Our server was very friendly and attentive. He answered all our questions throughly abd checked on us during our dine in to make sure everything was exceptional.
The portions are very generous and we all took half of our plates back to the room with us.
From the appetizers to the main course was absolutely delicious! Authentic German dining that anyone who is visiting should experience!
