We had a great experience here. The cashier was genuinely delightful—friendly, welcoming, and made us feel taken care of. We both dined in and also got takeout, and everything was consistently excellent.
The food was phenomenal. My daughter ordered the chicken teriyaki and loved it so much she’s already asking to come back anytime we’re in Ellensburg. I can’t remember exactly what I ordered, but I do remember being really impressed with the flavor and quality.
The only downside for me was the decor/atmosphere—it could definitely be improved—but the service and food more than made up for it. We’ll be back.

Edit: This round we pretty much ordered the same thing. The white rice is like glue. The chicken is end pieces & hard. The sauce sticks to the roof of my mouth? My daughter’s veggie rice is great but something is way off with my chicken & rice. I don’t know what’s in the teriyaki, but it’s not the same & it’s terrible. Maybe a new cook who doesn’t care?
We had DoorDash pick up for us. I was leery, last time that I ordered teriyaki elsewhere, it was a TINY amount for a HIGH price. This was nearly $50 with delivery, but my daughter & I received enough {fresh} food to last us a few meals a piece! It was absolutely worth it & delicious! There’s nothing that I would change about our meals. Arrived late because it was delivered elsewhere, but it was still good! We’ll definitely be return customers. The vegetarian rice is amazing & so is the white meat chicken & rice. So worth it!

Great Seattle style Teriyaki with poppyseed salad dressing. Teriyaki has the perfect amount of char from the outdoor grill. Cute cabin interior. Great hot green tea! Worth the drive off the freeway. Has good parking. Great rest stop driving through!

We ordered take out. What we ordered was teriyaki chicken, which we rate 3 stars, the chicken was okay and the sauce was way too sweet and definitely didn’t give off in house made vibes, katsu chicken we rate 3 stars, seemed like a frozen premade chicken that was heated and served, teriyaki beef we rate 0 stars; as I am not even sure if it is actually beef as it has a fishy flavor and is extreemly soft like tofu, and lastly we got Goyza which we would give 3 stars, the wrapper was thick but the filling was well flavored. For the price we expected better quality. The food was VERY sugary, and didn’t taste super great. It felt like we were eating pre-made frozen food with pre-made sauces made with corn syrup. I don’t recommend eating here. The Japanese steakhouse down the road has much better food for a slightly higher cost.

Quite place, girl at the counter was kind and helpful. Food came out relatively quick and it was phenomenal! My husband commented it was the closest he has had to the fried rice and such he had over seas. I had the chicken teriyaki and was so pleased! It was all great! Large portions and we all left happy! Will definitely visit again! Thank you for being here and making great food!

When I first decided to come to Mr. Teriyaki I went to three different restaurants prior trying to find food for my children. I did the teriyaki last cause I didn’t want all the sauce and I wasn’t sure what it was gonna be like. However, I come and it is so good!!! There are lots of vegetables, and the food tastes fresh as if it was made with love just for us!

Very disappointing, Veggie Fried Rice was basically gummy rice with frozen peas and carrot cubes mixed in. Service was okay, but you had to order at the counter and there was almost nobody else in the restaurant. The building is an old Pizza Hut and the chairs were cold and hard.

Was excited to check out a new restaurant in Ellensburg, and left disappointed. Ordered the Gyoza, Beef Rice bowl, and my partner had the Chicken Katsu (which came with Chicken Teriyaki as well).
The rice had the texture like it had been sitting in the rice cooker for hours, just bland mush. The beef and chicken teriyaki tasted of liquid smoke and not much else, and had quite the odd texture to it. The only good food we had were the Gyoza, which were overpriced.
The inside was dark, unpleasant, and frankly seemed unclean. Large number of flies, and the tables were unpleasantly sticky, which we had hoped was due to some odd cleaner.
Do yourself a favor and skip Mr. Teriyaki for dinner, and find somewhere else in Ellensburg. It’s just not worth the over expensive price.

Went here for the first time. This is their new location. Very nice and open atmosphere, extremely clean, service was top notch, restrooms were very clean and the food was very good! Would highly recommend this gem.

Way overpriced for low quality low flavor food. 14 bucks for 10 frozen store bought potstickers tells you what to expect. Too many better options in Ellensburg to support to settle for this. If there were 1/2 price lunch specials maybe. What a shame, missed opportunity
