El Siboney had a large menu which seemed daunting. From a quick Google search, we learned that their vaca frita and their ropa veija were top picks. The third friend in our group had the cuban mix sandwich. Our dishes were so delicious, and just what we were craving. Portion sizes were good, and the recommendations from the internet were real winners.
The food took quite a while to come, but when it did, it was worth the wait. I was missing cutlery when I first sat down and had to go ask staff to get some, and they politely provided it. I had ordered mashed potato but got fried plantain and beans instead when the food arrived – no explanation. But it was lovely nonetheless.

I haven’t had much experience with Cuban food, but I couldn’t find anything to complain about. pretty authentic to me. service was superb, food is fresh and full of flavors. The server even took time to explain to me how the different dishes were served and what kind of flavor profiles to expect. If I’m ever in Key West again this is definitely going to be one of my food stops.
Very reasonably priced for the quality of food. Its was definitely not out of the microwave

Whew yall, where do I begin we pulled up to the address thanks to Google, and we were certainly confused by The Neighborhood surrounding this phenomenal Cuban restaurant. Parking was scares but you can always expect that at the beach. We were greeted kindly and our drinks order taken while we contemplated what amazingness we were going to taste for dinner. My husband chose the ham and cheese sandwich with a side of yucca fries. We also ordered a T-bone steak with a side of white rice which came topped with grilled onions and fried plantains. The third meal that was ordered was the Cuban mix sandwich complemented by an imported Palma Cuban beer. Other drinks at the table were their pink lemonade (UNIQUELY delicious), a can of Jupina (stunningly good), and cafe con leche (no words to describe the level of delicious this brings, make sure you get the sugar with it, The sugar gives it such a lift).
We shared a slice of key lime pie (real whip cream on top and tangy in all the right bites). it was all beyond delicious, and theres many reasons why this icon of a restaurant has the reviews it does
Our waitress was on point with how she showed up for our table. She was paitent, so very kind as we couldn’t decide on what we each wanted. She gave us great advice on what dishes were and which, and what is the most authentic.
Yall, Definitely put this on your list to visit because the atmosphere, the food and the people who work so hard to give each table the experience of Cuba, deserve your money

Visited November 2025. I always visit when I come down to Key West. This is a cuban staple. The service is fast, the food is fresh and tasty. I always order the #1 pork. They are consistent every time. The black beans are seasoned nicely. The flan is also delicious. I look forward to the next visit.

An amazing spot with great food. We were a party of two (lucky restaurant was 330 steps from our VRBO)! Cuban bread was given as we sat down & it was out of this world!! We shared one beef empanada & grilled chicken & shrimp. It came with yellow rice, black beans & the best plantains I have ever had!!!!! Tons of food (so glad we shared) got two slices of Key Lime pie (to go). We really only needed one. It was just okay. Tons of cream whipped topping instead of meringue. Would absolutely go again!! Our bill was $46.59 and we gave $10 tip

This was probably the most value-for-money meal we have had in a long time. Their food and sangria were top notch. We got the roast pork, Vaca fritas and roast chicken and were so impressed by all dishes. The buttered bread they give at the start is also nice. Overall, one of our favorite dining experiences in Key West.

My boyfriend and I went to this restaurant while on vacation and I don’t think I’ve ever had such good food in my entire life. I felt like I had tasted food genuinely cooked with love, I even joked with my boyfriend that the cook must have gotten lucky the night before their shift but seriously I couldn’t recommend a place more everything was so yummy even the bread they bring out when you sit down was just so damn delicious. Wonderful place and wonderful staff. If you are in Key West this is apparently the only REAL Cuban food as we were told by the staff at a moped rental place. I’ve already promised myself at some point in my life I need to come back to this restaurant

This place is poppin! Took a while for them to take our order but food arrived in a reasonable time. The portions were great and we enjoyed the people watching. Grouper was a bit greasy for my taste but the ropa vieja was good and large portion.
