This was my favorite kind of food in college (D.C.). I was excited to try this new place, 30 years later. I love the way it is served, shared, eaten w/ injera bread in fingers. The meats were good, and the dals were excellent, as were the collards! Maybe they could have a satellite TV to get some Ethiopian shows on in the bar area?! That would be a nice addition. Our server was wonderful (didn’t get her name). We’ll come back in a month or two!

This restaurant apparently just opened recently. I never had Ethiopian food and always wanted to try it, we started with meat Sambusa appetizer which arrived fast and then we had to wait a little bit for the main course, the combo dish. From my perspective being new to Ethiopian food the food was exciting and delicious, balanced spices, tastes, light and nice aromas and also colorful. Loved the tradition of eating with hands using the Injera or the delicious teff flour bread. It was an excellent time and journey and the outside seating was great. They had recently opened and were doing pretty good being new to the location.

Fabulous food, but service can be quite slow. Order an appetizer to tide you over until the main course arrives.

This was my first time trying Ethiopian food and I really enjoyed it! The flavors were really good and everything tasted amazing. I highly recommend getting a combo meal because you get meat and a variety of vegetable entrees which are delicious! They also seem to have a pretty good amount of veggie options if you don’t eat meat. Definitely recommend!

Perfect spot for a nice healthy lunch or dinner! Plenty of vegan and meat options. Boyfriend and I shared a veggie sambusa and a vegan combo, and it was plenty of food for the both of us. Everything was delicious, and we especially liked the Difin Misir (Brown Lentil) and the sambusa!

I went to the new Ethiopian restaurant in Davis today, and wow, it blew me away! As someone who knows the standard of Ethiopian food pretty well, I can tell you this place is the real deal. The injera was perfectly spongy and fresh, and the gored gored and tibis had just the right kick—rich, flavorful, and cooked with care. The vibe inside is warm and welcoming, with super friendly staff who made the whole experience even better. If you’re in Davis and craving something delicious, this place is a must-visit. I’m already excited to go back! They are 5 star ⭐️.
