Was referred this place from a friend. The gumbo was simple. Roux water that it. I ordered shrimp etouffee I got crawfish etouffee on a baked potatoes it was watered down. The water tasted like chlorine in a public pool. The coke was flat. If this was the only place to go I would come after I exhausted all other options. Wait staff was friendly. Food was crap

Love this place. I got the chicken and sausage gumbo. I’m very picky about my gumbo and they did not disappoint. The gumbo had a great flavor and there was more than plenty of it. In fact, I couldn’t finish the bowl. The potato salad was delicious also. The server check on me just enough. She made sure I was happy with my meal but she didn’t ask so much that she was disturbing my lunch. I like that in a server. When it was all said and done I had a great meal that I couldn’t eat all of for less than 20 bucks. You can’t ask for much more these days. Keep up the great work!!! I will be back.

This is the first time my husband and I have eaten in Eunice. We were passing through on a Saturday evening and wanted something that was outside of your typical chain restaurant. We were promptly greeted as soon as we walked in. Once seated , our waitress was very friendly and quick to wait on us. I ordered the chicken and sausage gumbo. My hubby had the bacon cheeseburger with tots. First, the gumbo was spectacular! The flavor was perfect! I’ve eaten a lot of gumbo through the years and you can always tell if a gumbo has been cooked correctly-it MUST be slow simmered for hours to allow the flavors to “marry”. Otherwise you will end up with a liquid that tastes like water, seasoning, and flour roux. This gumbo was definitely cooked by someone that is experienced in true Cajun cooking. The rice was also cooked perfectly and the potato salad was equally just as good.
My husband said his bacon cheese burger and tots were also delicious. The meat patty was made using fresh beef, not from a pre-frozen patty. After the meal, we were given our choice of a complimentary desert which is definitely a nice touch. I had the chocolate mousse and my hubby had the apple cobbler. Both were very good. By chance, the owner of the restaurant was eating next to us with her family. She was a very personable lady who seemed to really have her heart and soul in this restaurant. You could tell that she takes great pride in making sure that her customers are satisfied. If you are in the area and are looking for really good authentic Cajun food at a very reasonable price, please stop by and support this restaurant owner and her sweet family. We will 100% go again if we are in the area!!

Homestyle cooking and very friendly staff. See pics for what we ate. The fried chicken salad was very good ( not low-cal)! The chicken pieces were hand cut and battered, which was the best “nuggets” I’ve had in a while.

Don’t judge this restaurant by the outside! We weren’t sure what we were walking into when we pulled up but went off Google reviews. Excellent service, great menu and amazing food! If you find yourself in Eunice and want some authentic LA food, this is your spot. (Pictured gumbo, loaded shrimp baked potato, Cajun eggplant and beignet bites)

Normally don’t have a problem with their product. But when ordering a bowl of chicken and sausage gumbo and her about not even 1/2 cup of rice and a big container of gumbo with 1/4 cup chicken and two or three small PCs of sausage, we were a bit disappointed.
