My first time coming here and Kathy was so helpful at helping me decide what was good and was very nice.
Big chicken fried steak comes with salad bar and 2 sides, best bring your appetite! The other pic is grilled steak burger and it too came with the same setup!

Great place to get chicken fried steak. Mashed potatoes were awesome as well. The french fries were nothing special. Service was a little slow, but friendly. Small, little restaurant. I will be back to try other menu items.

We were hoping to find a pretty unique place for lunch after visiting Mission Tejas, but was surprised so many food places were closed on a Sunday. This place had high reviews on Trip Advisor so we decided to give it a shot. Glad we did! The buffet was great, we really liked the pot roast, mashed potatoes with gravy, hamburger steak and brown gravy, fried chicken, rolls, warm potato salad, black eyed peas, corn, & green beans. The chicken dumplings were a little bland and didn’t really care for the Cole slaw. Great selection on the salad bar & the dessert is definitely shareable! Definitely worth a stop the next time you are through the area!

Wanted love this, but was just good. Nothing outstanding. The chicken fried steak was good but a little tuff and chewy, gravy was bit runny and not homemade. Hashbrowns were best thing I ate.

The service is excellent, fast and friendly. Breakfast is good. The dinner buffet didn’t have much that tempted me. Ordered catfish dinner, it was bland, no taste, fortunately no fishy taste either. Will come back for breakfast, but I’ll pass on the dinner

They have great breakfast food! Have eaten there twice now. We live about 2 1/2 hours away, so this is our new breakfast place when traveling through. The outside appearance isn’t great, but it has the old Cafe appeal. I heard their chicken fried steak is also great. Will have to catch it at lunch when I can.

This is our go to breakfast place! Waitresses are very sweet and work really hard. I haven’t tried their lunch/dinner in over a year, but was good as well. They REALLY took care of us yesterday during a little extra activity going on outside the restaurant. Thanks again!

Absolutely epic service and experience. The buffet was a great collection of classic southern dinner and my wife loved the variety on the salad bar. More than pleased with this diner and we will be back for the delightful food and hometown hospitality.
