Upon entering, there is an elevator. Take it to the 2nd floor. Drinks were good. Lots of people were ordering the affogato and ice cream drinks so I will definitely be back for that.
Don’t skimp on the treats because their desserts look fabulous and taste good too! Lots of seating in multiple rooms. There was live music on Friday night when we went . DEFINITELY will be back!!! Highly recommend.
The space is quite large; I didn’t sit on the other side, but the area where I sat was very cozy, with comfortable chairs, mirrors, and lots of plants, which made it feel calm and welcoming. They also provide books, so it you’re by yourself, you can work or read. If you’re with friends, you can play games since they have those available too. It’s a good spot for any group size, or even just a quick stop to grab a coffee.
Parking can be a little tricky at first, especially if it’s your first visit, but there is parking available near the café. It’s located on the second floor, and they have clear signage everywhere, which makes it easy to find. Overall, it’s a nice, chill hangout space.
The best local coffee shop I’ve seen in US so far.
First, they stay relatively late, which is always a perk.
Second, you can’t top this ambience. It’s a place to relax, to meet with friends, to be with your date, definitely some romantic element is present.
Third, the drinks and the snacks treats are great.
Fourth, the service is wonderful with lots of young energy.
Can not recommend this place more if you’re visiting Oklahoma City..
However, a recent policy shift occured which makes it so you have to order before you can sit down. This wouldn’t be an issue if it wasn’t for the fact that often you will be standing in line for a full 30 minutes, sometimes up to 45, on any given part of the day. Often my people who did not get there before they opened would wait for lulls in the line and then get their drinks then, so it’s not as if they were seating non paying customers beforehand.
I want to be clear that I do not blame the employees for this whatsoever – I blame management for the fact there is only a single register and a single coffee machine with which to make all of their drinks for the long line times, which makes this policy an incredible money loser. I am reasonably sure that Perets could be one of the most successful coffee shops in Oklahoma City and make far more profit than they do now with just those two changes I mentioned – and I have the restaurant management degree to back that claim up.
As much as I love this place, and I want to be clear I do love this place, I cannot in good conscience spend 45 minutes of the hour and a half I allot for seeing my friends weekly in a line. We have had to find another place to go to since this change. If this policy is revoked, then we will be right back happily, and this review will be changed to reflect the 5 star place I know this can be.
The creme brulee was fantastic! The honey lavender ice cream was a hit as well. The mocha wasn’t the best — I love a drink that isn’t too sweet, but this one didn’t have as much of a chocolate flavor as I would have hoped. It was pretty bland. Everything else, we enjoyed immensely.
