Mike behind the bar is awesome! We had a blast on a Sunday midday visit. Ridiculously good onion rings! Chicken sandwiches were a hit, but the fried haddock sandwich was mind blowing. Inside is open and up north welcoming.

The pan seared walleye with vegetables and au gratin potatoes is a sigh-worthy dish! Perfectly elevated and something worth coming back to order over and over again. Friendly staff, quick service, great drinks! When someone asks to go out for dinner I will be recommending Pine Knot Tavern first every time.

Loved every bit of my experience! I got the cheese curds, fried walleye, and a blackberry cider. Delicious! The atmosphere in the restaurant was very homey and the bar was lively! Will be returning again!

If you’re riding through, make sure to stop at Pine Knot — such a fantastic snowmobile bar!

We stopped in for the first time with our family and had the best experience. The vibe is cozy and welcoming — exactly what you want after being out in the cold. We even got to meet Jen, the owner, and she was so charismatic and great to talk to. She made us feel right at home.

We’ll definitely be back! ❄️

We found ourselves in the area for an unexpected short day and ended up stopping in for both lunch and dinner—and we’re glad we did. Being a chilly November Sunday, the Packers were on this afternoon and the Bears/Vikings game was on later, so the atmosphere was lively without being overwhelming.

Natalie was behind the bar during the afternoon and brought plenty of cheerful Packer energy after the win. She offered great suggestions, kept everyone happy, and set the tone for a really enjoyable visit. We were honestly surprised at how good the food was—fresh, flavorful wings and a delicious grilled veggie sandwich layered with house-made hummus. My other half loved the Italian sausage sandwich with peppers, onions, and sauce.

We liked it so much that we came back in the evening for cocktails and burgers. Sully was tending bar by then and struck the perfect balance between friendly conversation and giving us space to enjoy our meal.

This place is a keeper—elevated bar food with classic comfort and a fun twist. Everything we tried was fresh, not heavy or overly fried, and we left both times feeling genuinely impressed. Highly recommend.

Pine Knot is a hidden treasure in St Germain! Delicious clam chowder and chili today. The appetizers are well seasoned, tasty and generously portioned!

Waitstaff is friendly and more than accommodating. A nice meeting place where we were welcomed to stay and visit after our meal since there was room! Will definitely visit again!

Enjoyed the food so much, our server Natalie was friendly, fun, and enthusiastic. Remodeled and beautiful. I’d love to see a bigger menu but we loved the cheese curds and bacon wrapped tenderloin with bourbon glazed vegetables. Even the veggies were fantastic!

Jim at the Pine Knot Tavern is hands down one of the best bartenders around! He’s friendly, attentive, and always makes everyone feel welcome the second they walk in. Whether you’re a regular or just stopping by for the first time, Jim takes great care of you and keeps the drinks coming with a smile.

And you can’t beat their Friday baked haddock — perfectly seasoned, flaky, and cooked to perfection every time. It’s clear the Pine Knot takes pride in their food and service, and Jim really adds to that great local atmosphere.

If you’re looking for a relaxed place with amazing food and top-notch service, the Pine Knot Tavern with Jim behind the bar is the place to be!

We stopped by for dinner on a Friday night. My husband, who considers himself a fish fry connoisseur, was very impressed with theirs. I ordered the pan fried walleye. The walleye was delicious, and I loved the roasted vegetables and fresh side salad that came with it. The atmosphere and service were also great. We will definitely be back!
