My family and I came around 4 pm. Tried this place based on the google review and locals recommendation. Good friendly customer service with affordable pricing. We ordered appetizers and took main dishes and desserts to go. Referring to the food, almost everything lacked seasoning. The mushrooms are big, but they needed a seasoned batter and maybe a cream cheese filling. The chili cheese fries lacked seasoning and needed the fries cooked longer. The cauliflower cheese bites are good. The fish tastes like something you can buy at a grocery store freezer section. The tenderloin needed seasoning, and the waffle fries were okay. The cheeseburger beef patties needed seasoning. The sausage pizza is basic, nothing special. The cookies and brownie are delicious!!!! 10 out of 10 for baked goods.

My husband chose this restaurant on our anniversary retreat after reading good reviews of it. I was really skeptical, but my husband was correct. The food was good, fresh and plentiful. We both had burgers, and they were perfectly cooked and tasty. Our waitress was efficient and really nice. The atmosphere wasn’t terrible, but it is a gas station, so expectations must be managed. I have no complaints, the food was good, service was good. The pecan pie was amazing!

I really like this place. I usually stop here when going out to my land. The burgers are some of the best and the veggies (lettuce, tomatoes, and pickles) are always fresh. I have never been disappointed here! When I am in a hurry, they generally have a burger in a self serve warmer and they hook me up with the best tomatoes and pickles to top it with! You are in for some awesome food if tou choose to dine in… plus the locals always order pies from here for the holidays.

Went for first time and was very satisfied. A no frills atmosphere with emphasis on great food and excellent customer service. A true example of old fashioned Americana with a scenic 20 minute drive from Leavenworth. Great find. I will return!!

I want to share with you my experience at the Hilltop Cafe and bakery. I don’t care for any kind of cake, so my sister looked at a place in Leavenworth who usually makes goose berry pie. They didn’t have the goose berries to make it they gave her the number to the Hilltop. They were able to make me one. It was delicious. I looked up the menu and we can’t wait to try eating at the Cafe. Never knew about this place. I have been telling my friends about the Hilltop.
