The owner is from Sicily, he uses his mom’s recipe for the meal I had today. I can’t pronounce it, but it was a bowl of pasta with Parmesan, tomatoes, peas, beef and bread on the side.

I finished the meal and got the recommended espresso. This exceeded my expectations and I have never tasted anything as rich and authentic.

I highly recommend this place for takeout, or a quick bite and espresso. Incredible.

Definitely recommend people to check this place out. Cozy Italian homemade coffee shop. I went here for my morning coffee on my NYC trip. My partner and I got a strawberry latte, a sandwich and a penne bolognese. The coffee and food were amazing! The owner was really nice. Better foods than the restaurants in Little Italy. Will visit again if we’re in the area.

The owner suggested the bologness, a recipe learned from his mother, so of course I had to try it. It did not disappoint! I can’t wait to see what other recipes he adds to the menu! Will be back for more.

We recently hosted a cocktail hour networking event for about 50 guests, and the catering experience was absolutely outstanding. Every detail was customized with care, and the presentation was nothing short of spectacular.

From the moment our guests walked in, they were greeted by an abundant, beautifully styled spread: an elegant Mediterranean salad, roasted eggplant, handmade pastas (including penne alla Norma and a delicate white sauce penne), and a stunning assortment of cold cuts and custom cheeses. The charcuterie board was a centerpiece in itself layered with fresh figs, dates, berries, grapes, smoked salmon, pastrami, and a wide selection of artisanal cheeses. Every bite reflected quality and refinement.

Not only was the food exceptional, but the service was seamless and attentive, making sure our guests were well taken care of throughout the evening. It elevated the event into a true highend cocktail hour that left a lasting impression on everyone in attendance.

We cannot recommend this catering team Renee & Nadia from Piccola Caffetteria highly enough perfect for any professional or luxury event where quality, customization, and presentation matter most.

Piccola Caffetteria is truly a lifesaver for us here in Madison, NJ! They always come through on last-minute catering orders for 30+ people and somehow turn everything around within 24–48 hours. The salads are always fresh, the pastas are creative and change often, and they’re great about customizing for Mediterranean tastes and non-pork eaters.

Desserts are mouthwatering, and the appetizers and pinsas are a huge hit the Nutella strawberry pinsa was unbelievable! They know exactly what we like and are always flexible. At this point, I use them for all my events and corporate bookings, and I couldn’t be happier with the service, pricing and quality.

Thank you, Piccola Caffetteria Team – you’re magic of a place!

Nestled on a cozy corner, Piccola Caffetteria is a true gem that immediately makes you feel at home. The decor is absolutely adorable, striking the perfect balance between charmingly rustic and invitingly modern, instantly giving off that quintessential neighborhood vibe we all crave.
What truly elevates the experience, however, are the owners. Their friendliness and genuine warmth are palpable from the moment you step inside. You can tell they pour their heart into this place, making every customer feel like a welcomed guest.
And the food? Even something as simple as an Americano is crafted with intention, a rich and perfectly balanced brew that sets the tone for your meal. But the real star for me was the Rigatoni Bolognese. It’s not just delicious; it’s soulful, packed with a generous amount of tender, flavorful meat that coats every perfectly cooked rigatoni. You can taste the care and tradition in every bite.
Don’t even get me started on their deli sandwiches. Made with fresh mozzarella and served on crusty Italian bread, they’re a simple yet profound joy. The kind of sandwich that transports you straight to Italy with its fresh ingredients and satisfying texture.
And for the grand finale, their homemade cannolis are nothing short of amazing. The filling is incredibly delicious, with just the right amount of sweetness that’s never overpowering. Paired with a perfectly crunched shell, they’re the ideal end to a perfect meal.
This cafe isn’t just a place to eat; it’s an experience that leaves you feeling happy and satisfied. If you’re looking for a spot with fantastic food, and a charming atmosphere, you absolutely have to give this place a try. You won’t be disappointed!

This coffee nook was quite nice, espresso was robust and brown sugar was great quality. Mauricio is a great host and loves what he does. Great conversations over coffee are so refreshing, and I wasn’t going to eat eat first. Then I seen him preparing sandwiches for people and I had to try. Olive oil was a great binder for the mozzarella and cuts. I saw a fresh leg of jamón ibérico too as I was there lol. This nook is like a magician’s hat. Coffe and food was so good I forgot to take pictures for now.

I happened upon this lovely cafe while doing construction just outside. I went in and was immediately met by the owner Maurizio (I hope I got the spelling right my good sir!). He was a very kind and approachable man. We spoke for a short time but just off of this interaction, I am invested in this place. I got a superb double espresso, with coffee imported from Naples and a delicious chocolate cake. The cake was moist and had a slight taste of amaretto, a very pleasant surprise. The police officer I was with asked me how the coffee was and I told him it was amazing. He came back out and reaffirmed my sentiments, he loved the coffee!

I can’t praise this place enough, but if you love italian coffee, or even coffee in general, you NEED to try Piccola!

What a wonderful new find. We were greeted immediately and helped right away. The pasta was cooked perfectly, the tiramisu was excellent and the coffee was on point. Took a nutella latte to go and it did not disappoint. I will definitely be going back.
