This restaurant was hands down a 11/10!! It was my first time trying african food and HOLY- the best food ever!! I highly highly recommend it! Blessed was the owner who took care of us and the service, the atmosphere, and the food was out of this world! I’m not from Texas but I definitely will be coming back everytime I visit!

My family and I went Chop Nation off of W. Davis in Conroe, TX. for lunch today and I’d give more than 5 stars if I could. Blessed (sp?) took care of us and was wonderful. We have never had authentic African food before and we were interested in trying it. Immediately she treated us like family and helped to understand each dish and how to eat them. The taste of the fufu and egusi was flavorful, a little spicy and unique. Definitely getting it again. We found a beautiful hidden gem in Conroe that everyone needs to try! If you are wondering about trying this type of food, just do it. Well worth it!!! Clean and cozy atmosphere with plenty of seating. The prices were great. We are truly blessed to have had the opportunity to meet a new friend!

Wonderful food, nice atmosphere, and great customer service. Plantains were very good in the spicy sauce, jollof rice were rich in flavor, and the snails were super tasty. We also tried the chicken, brown beans, and Plantains as well. Very great meal!

The good: server was very attentive, courteous.and friendly. Her tip, reflected our gratitude for her pleasant demeanor. The dining area immaculate with a charming atmosphere. The bad: the beef was overcooked (jerky like). The fish was hard to cut or digest. The fish roll had a minimal amount of fish. Think of a tamale thats mostly masa. My wife had a dish labeled ‘Special Noodles’ (top ramen with mixed vegetables). All the food was served cold except the rice. I smoke and grill meat so I can tell when it’s been previously cooked or old and reheated (beef, fish). Having spent time in Africa, I know the food is spicy, which I prefer. With that said there’s a distinct difference between spicy (flavorful) and just hot (bland heat). The beef was cold with a hot dry rub seasoning sitting on the top. The plantain was too thick, some where half cooked and hard. It was overpriced for the quality of the cuisine. We left without hardly eating anything that cost $94.00 including the tip. My advice is to avoid dine in establishments where you pay upfront. Once payment is completed it’s difficult to recoup your money. Assuming the food and service will be good is insidious. In all the food was horrible and I’d never go back or recommend it to anyone .

This food was incredible! First time I have tried African (I believe Nigerian) food, but it will not be my last. Our server Blessed was extremely helpful, welcoming, and kind. She gave us ideas about what to order, and it was absolutely delicious and extremely flavorful. We were all very impressed, and we will be back soon.

The food was so flavorful! The efo riro had a bit of a kick to it but not too spicy. Follof rice and chicken was fantastic. Thr moimoi was delicious. I also ordered the zobo. It was delicious. The meat pies are tasty here too. I’ll definitely be back to try the egusi. ❤️

I am an African woman who knows how to cook and that is picky about what I eat and when I tell you this was the best Nigerian food of Houston, trust me!!!
The jollof was the best I had (now portion is a bit small, but I will pay with no problem for the quality of food).
For the first time I ate Eguissi without adding additional seasoning and my hubby like the okra too!!!
We finished the food so fast that I could not take pictures early enough … but they just gained me and my family as customers. I would highly recommend!

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed dining here. Walk in to Christian music playing on one tv. Very clean! I tried to zobo and it was very refreshing! All of the food was delicious and made to order! There was a small wait, but that’s due to the freshness of the food! Will definitely be back to try more on the menu!
