Just left from this location. The staff was very warm & friendly. What I didn’t like was that they were out of veggie patties, which are my favorite. But I understand, cuz they’re good. And the woman that was fixing my plate gave me 3 plantains at first, but then I seen her quietly talking with the bald guy & he looked like he disapproved of me having 3 plantains, so she put 1 back! How petty! I see they’re pretty stingy with the plantains. After spending $13.28, I believe I deserve 3 plantains. I mean, LOOK AT MY PLATE! (image below: I ate 1 plantain). The cabbage had no flavor & the rice was dry. Some locations are a hit & a miss sometimes. But, I won’t be returning to this location.

Horrible!! My husbands oxtails cost $29 even for lunch. The Mac n cheese is nothing but CHEESE! Someone could literally choke and die eating their BAKED CHEESE. HORRIBLE. The music was so loud I could not hear anyone behind the counter. The boy had to turn it down just for us to order. And it was STILL loud. Very dirty. He had to rinse out stuff for us to order a fountain drink. We definitely won’t be back

5 Stars! This Golden Krust is consistently delicious. I have ordered (ALOT lol) pickup, delivery through DoorDash, and in person and it’s always great. I specifically love the vegetable patty, spinach patty, vegetables, and plantains. It’s clean inside & as soon as you walk in you’re hit with the lovely smell of authentic Jamaican cuisine. The employees are very friendly, patient, and treat you like family. Sometimes they run out of items but it’s honestly expected because it’s so good . My dinner is always under $20 which is a plus as well! You definitely get a BANG for your buck.

The oxtails were a 7/10. They needed more seasoning but weren’t bad overall. However, was it worth $25? Absolutely not! I honestly think there should be a lunch special or cheaper options available. I ended up spending $33 on lunch, and I probably won’t visit again.

Service was fast but the server complained that the chicken piece was too large when making my brown stew chicken. Idk how a chicken thigh is too large but I felt it could be larger for the $17 per plate charge. The guy who checked me out hoovered over the counter as if to see if I would leave a tip and when pressed no his demeanor changed. I like to leave cash tips and planned to after ordering a drink separate and allowing him to make change but he made me a small drink and charged me for large. I would prefer the Hampton GA location.

I understand now why the line no longer hangs out the door. It’s because the food is less than mediocre, and the staff acts as though they are not living off of the good graces of their customers. I was the only person in there ordering food, which was alarming. I ordered jerk chicken with cabbage and asked for oxtail gravy. The gravy was like water. The prices are astronomical compared to the other locations. I frequent the Lovejoy location where the prices are cheaper and the portions are larger. This location needs to be removed from the Golden Krust chain because it’s giving the company a horrible stinch. Why are the prices much higher at this location, why are the portions much smaller, why are you no longer seasoning the food and why is the customer service horrible? Restaurants that do not value their customers, do not value their food. Hence, the watered down oxtail gravy and the watered down curry goat. Add three more people who will no longer patronize this location and I advise anyone reading this to do the same.

Idk why they have 3.3 stars. The food was 10/10! They stuff you cups, bowls, plates. So the price is worth it and no complaints at all. My wife got large cup of oxtail for $33 w/ side of plantain and I got peas n rice, with stew chicken, plantains, cabbage. Side of 2 pieces of coco bread. Idk how much I paid, but it was so good.

Not very pleased with their patties they barely had any meat in them and I paid over 8 bucks just for two. They also charged me a service fee of almost 3% as if the patties weren’t already OVERPRICED. This will be my last time doing business with Golden Crust because the last time I went over 4 years ago they were very skimpy with their portions and here we are still on the skimp mission. I can’t anymore. Too much to pay for too little food. I hate i didn’t take pictures of my food. I was really hungry and in a rush, And I am still hungry.

I usually walk in for a plate and they provide plenty of meat but when I had my food delivered the portion of meat was skimpy. I ordered a large curry goat plate . I spent more on this restaurant because the portions are usually great. However, it wasn’t worth it. I spent $40 in the meal and delivery. I emailed my concerns with a picture and spoke with some staff. They wouldn’t provide a refund. Don’t deliver but would give me a cup of meat that I can pick up or add to another delivery order. I don’t drive and can’t get the cup of meat they would give to makeup for the poor portions they gave. I’m very disappointed- don’t have your food delivered.
