I’m Italian-American from New York. I have come to beautiful Santiago and IL Pasticcio for the past 20 years. From the first time 20 years ago to yesterday, IL Pasticcio is Authentic Italian food and the best there is! Just like a Dominican who travels to New York will always have great Dominican food, when I travel I want to have great Italian food the way it’s supposed to be, from the most basic dishes to the specials. the complementary pesto with extra virgin olive oil over toasted bread was a great Italian flavor start. we ordered the eggplant parmesan as an appetizer and it was excellent, melts in your mouth. for dinner entrees, we just wanted to try basic chicken parmesan which was perfect with an excellent Italian tomato sauce. I also wanted a side of spaghetti but a little bit different, with a hot, spicy Italian flavor to change it up and it was like being in NY! We also had the fettuccine with shrimps and cream sauce which was excellent and my girlfriend took half to work the next day! I normally order a bottle of wine but we decide to have a few cocktails instead some margaritas and Johnnie Walker. everything from the food to the drinks were all reasonably priced, it was so worth it! The atmosphere is beautiful and peaceful for families and groups or a romantic evening and the staff is absolutely wonderful. so whether you’re planning a nice family dinner outing with authentic Italian cooking, a casual dinner or a romantic escape, you will enjoy the ambiance, the service and your food. and those are the three things I always want in a dining experience. IL Pasticcio is my go-to place for authentic Italian in santiago. I will see you next time. R. DiMaggio

What a marvelous place. I had been told by a friend to go and been wanting to for a long time. What a feast I had. Delicious food submerged in an artist world. I had a classic tomate y mozzarella a la caprese, crostini di anchoas, gnocci a la puttanesca, classic brownie a la mode, peroni beer, glass of italian merlot and of course an espresso. Enchanted by it. Must go when in Santiago. Bravo!
