Cute little place, just a few small tables, but lots of goodies that looked really delicious. The girl behind the counter was very nice and knowledgeable about what was in her case.
I got a blueberry danish, which was soft and flaky and….amazing. The peanut crusted piece of cake – the very tender cake was surrounded by buttercream before they rolled it in the peanuts. I’m sure there’s an official name for it, which I do not know, but it was delicious, also.
They also had coffee available if you are into that. Parking was right in front of the store.

Amazing pastries, donuts, and treats of all kinds. Picking up donuts or cinnamon rolls are always extra delicious from Fosdal’s. At least once a week our kids are asking to go her for donuts. The toughest part about looking to move seems to be that Fosdal’s is only a little over a mile walk away.

A step back in time! A quaint bakery with friendly and cheerful staff make the atmosphere instantly welcoming. Being greeted the moment we walked through the door, and met by smiling faces, full display cases and an aroma that can only be explained as ‘heavenly’. How many donuts did we walk out with? Honestly – no idea, but more than the 2 or 3 we drove from Middleton to get!!
I’ll absolutely recommend again and again – until (and probably after) I perfect my donut baking skills!! I will be back!

I ordered 5 dozen donuts for my workplace less than 2 days ahead of time. They were so accommodating and understanding. I’m not exaggerating when I say that these are the BEST donuts I’ve ever had! They’re large and very fresh. Extremely affordable too, honestly they’re worth more than the price. They were a huge hit and everyone was asking where I got them. Even if I just wanted one donut for myself, I would definitely drive the half hour to get one of these. Thank you guys so much! ❤️

Worth the 30 minute drive to get my kids birthday cakes because my kids love the whipped cream frosting and the employees are always so polite and willing to work with cake designs. Donuts and cookies are also great. Definitely a great local business to support!

2025 update: my grandma is now 80yrs old and handicapped and on her bucket list is to be able to step foot inside of Fosdals again since she hasn’t stepped foot in the building in 25yrs because that’s roughly when she lost the ability to walk. I will find a way for her ❤️
2023 update: will defintely be going there today as the town celebrates Syttende Mai ❤️
And again, my family has 5 generations of people who are absolutely in love with Fosdals. When I took my child’s father there 2yrs ago, even he said it had the best Donuts he’s ever had in his life. He was 36 at the time.

I’ve loved this place for as long as I can remember. My first memory of this place was when I was 4yrs old and my mom would take us early in the morning before dropping us off at my grandma’s so she could work.
This place has stayed consistent with amazing service, food, and coffee. Their donuts put everyone else’s to shame. My favorite is the peanut butter long John. Continuing the tradition today and brought my almost 5yr old son there today. He loved it. My mom used to go there as a kid, and I believe my grandmother as well, at least in her teenage years, she was born in the 40s.

Service is speedy even when there’s a line out the door! I always stop for lefse, bread, and scones whenever I’m in Stoughton. This is the only place I’ve found that makes scones that are delicious and not dry! The lefse is made in WI, so you’re supporting two local businesses when you buy some. You can get a cup of coffee to go with your bakery as well. I recommend taking items to go as there are only a few tables, and they tend to be busy.

This place is amazing, every once in awhile I will go down there and get doughnuts. Freshly made every morning, 13 bucks for a dozen. They are fast to grab what I ask for and are all so friendly.

My wife wanted to visit this bakery today after brunch and boy I was happy we did, it smelled so good inside very nice selection of pasteries, very friendly staff ready to help patient and kind, glad we stopped in today will be our go to place for pasteries, I really enjoyed what I got and I know the kids loved what we got them, YUM will be back lots of times glad it so close to home! I recommend it to anyone who love’s pasteries. Thanks!
