We tried all the sandwiches so you don’t have to – Joyce and her team at Woodburn Cafe are a hidden-gem well known to INOVA Employees and those working near the hospital. Look at this amazing cookie! You know you want it! This mom and pop deli in the Woodburn medical building ground floor is always well stocked with snacks and drink. Their most popular bulgogi bowl is so delicious and made with fresh ingredients. Portion is big also. I finished it without taking a photo…outdoor seating is nice when the weather is good.

I stopped by while my mom was at the doctor for a bite, never having been there before. I saw that they had a bulgogi wrap. It was delicious! I will definitely be making regular visits! Great food, nice people!

Highly recommend! Not too far from Inova Fairfax Hospital, walkable distance. Amazing food and very sweet owners. Nice change from hospital food. The bulgogi wrap is very tasty.

To answer your question, there was hair in my sandwich and when I brought it too the attention of the wife that is co owner, she said the steak and cheese came like that from the package. UM NO….it was the exact hair on her head.
Also, your helper in the back went from cleaning/mopping the floors to helping in the kitchen without washing her hands first. All Pele should wear hair caps, gloves and wash hands. I don’t appreciate the situation so I have not returned.
I do appreciate the music you play, but sometimes it’s too loud.

This is a “grab quick bite” type of place. I really enjoyed my tomato mozzarella panini. Loved the hospitality of the couple (I presume they are a couple) running the place (I also presume they are the owners). I highly recommend it for a quick breakfast or lunch.

There is something about small little sandwich shops like this that are so good. Walked in and was the only in there which always raises my suspicious, especially near lunch; however, a few minutes after I ordered, there was a line out the door! Now that’s telling you something.
I ended up with a bacon/cheeseburger that was just amazing. The staff was friendly and quick with the order. My only regret is that I don’t work closer to this place so I can support it more~!
