Try this wonderful place out you won’t regret it !!!
We ate outside and it was so nice on their patio.
Waitress was great, too.
Service was extremely slow, and we were barely checked on the entire time. The staff gave off the impression that they didn’t want to be there, and unfortunately, that carried over into the food as well. I ordered the chicken chimichanga, which was almost entirely stuffed with rice — maybe 10% chicken at best — and I’ve never seen rice used as filler in a chimichanga before. My boyfriend ordered a quesadilla, and whether the tortillas were made in-house or not, they were doughy and gritty, which made them unpleasant to eat.
Even the basics weren’t good. Chips and salsa weren’t complimentary, so we ordered queso. For $7.50, the portion was pretty small, and the flavor was extremely bland.
Overall, the combination of uncleanliness, lack of attentiveness, unprofessional atmosphere, and disappointing food makes it hard to want to come back.
Details:
I was surprised to see they don’t have very many burrito options, but I just ordered the standard burrito and customized it by removing the pico de gallo and adding the three meat option (not mentioned on their website). I was also surprised to see how the burrito was served. It came wrapped in paper and cut in half. This is different from most Mexican restaurants, but it tasted excellent. I will mention that the way it was served did make it seem like less food that I would normally get at other Mexican restaurants for the same price.
The service was very good, but again, at other similar restaurants, I’m used to chips and salsa just being brought to the table without asking. When I was seated, I was asked what I wanted to drink and then the server walked away to get it. When she came back to ask what I wanted to eat, I had to ask about the free chips and salsa, but she did bring them over after that and they were very good.
The atmosphere overall was fine. Unfortunately, the booth I chose to sit in had a broken seat back which was uncomfortable. Additionally, on the floor next to me just to the side of the walkway, there was some spilled food and dirty silverware. I could understand if it had just fallen and a staff member would clean it up right away, but I was at the restaurant for over half an hour and no one gave it a second look. Staff walked past it multiple times, and the restaurant was not busy. There weren’t more than 5 other tables of people the whole time I was there.
All in all, great food, albeit slightly smaller portions, and I will plan to go back.
Definitely recommend this place & I WILL return!
