We had a wonderful dinner at Belly Acres last night. The service was great and our food was hot and made fresh and the portions are huge! It is enough for two meals! I had a veggie plate and the fried okra and mac and cheese were top notch! My sister had a chicken tender salad and it was enormous and came with so much chicken! The kids had burgers and chicken tenders and their food was great too, especially the fries! Kids eat free on Wednesday nights and they serve breakfast on the weekends! They also serve beer and have outdoor seating! We will be back for sure!

I couldn’t quite understand the hamburger; the lettuce looked strange and not very appetizing, but it was good. The fries weren’t freshly fried and were lukewarm, and the bathroom and dining area were very clean; I believe the kitchen is clean as well. I recommend this restaurant.

I’m sitting here shook at how bad the food was. This restaurant opened not long ago but the menus were falling apart. We got some burgers, a seared tuna sandwich, and some chicken nuggets. I dont send food back not because I’m polite, but because I dont want my food to be seasoned by vengeance. My tuna sandwich, assuming since it is “seared” means its the sushi grade soft kind. They sent out half an avocado with a severely assaulted tuna steak. This poor fish died in vain. It was so overcooked it was like a bad porkchop. A. Bad. Porkchop. The tuna was so overcooked, I think it saw the afterlife and came back as tuna jerky. If there was any moisture left in that steak, it had long since evaporated, possibly around the same time Blockbuster went out of business. 100 dollar bill and the best part was the beer. Which is saying something because one of our beer glasses was only 80% full while the other one was filled properly and honestly tasted watered down.

I ordered a seared tuna sandwich, but what I received was a cautionary tale from a seafood horror novel.

We had a fantastic dinner at Belly Acres tonight, and the new ownership is clearly making great improvements. The restaurant wasn’t very busy, but the staff was incredibly friendly and attentive from the moment we walked in. Our food came out fast, piping hot, and tasted genuinely made-to-order — fresh, flavorful, and much better than before.

Pricing was very reasonable, especially considering the quality. My parents commented multiple times that they’ll definitely be adding Belly Acres to their regular dining rotation in Collierville, and we all agreed we’ll be back soon.

If you haven’t tried Belly Acres since the change in ownership, it’s absolutely worth giving it another chance. The effort they’re putting in really shows.

No thank you Belly Acres Collierville! First and last time. The only thing about this review is that I didn’t have my phone on me at the time. I went in around 10:35am and placed a to go order Chicken and Waffle with a sweet tea. The only good thing was the sweet tea, it wasn’t too sweet almost just right. The waffles were gummy undone and I couldn’t place the taste. The chicken tasteless not that it’s a bad thing but I expected something, but it had a nice crunch a tad bit on the dry side. Had I had my phone I would’ve photographed the two bugs inside by the standing sign over the floor outlet. They were May/June beetles and I didn’t see them anywhere else but right at the door area. It looked clean but the bugs were right there. I knew I should’ve turned around but I proceeded to order. Took a bite off both chicken and waffle and knew it was not to my liking. I did drink a third of the tea. I tried it, and It’s a no for me.

Really good food. We had The Cure burger, a BLT, the chicken fingers, a veggie tray and tater tots. Everyone enjoyed their meals. The prices are a bit high. Wednesday is Kids Eat Free Day, so that didn’t help us, with no kids.

Worst dining experience in a while. Felt like they could only cook one burger patty at a time, our table was served 2 people at a time with about 5-10 minutes between each dish being brought out. By the time I got my food everyone else was done eating. The portion size was tiny on the burger and my fries were cold. Anything we asked server for we ended up having to go find ourselves (napkins, silverware, straw). Could be we went on a bad night, but I won’t be back.

Edit: In response to the reply – I did infact wait to write the review. I wasn’t going to leave one but Google reminded me that I had eaten their a few weeks ago and that reminded me of the experience. This was on the 10th. I ordered a smash burger with fries.

Just tried this place. In fairness we went between lunch and dinner on a Sunday. But, it felt super disorganized. We walked in and weren’t sure what to do. The place was pretty much empty but no one greeted us, etc. Finally figured out how to order. The thing I went for (which appears in online menus) is NOT available, which they indicated by taking a marker to all the menus. Food came out randomly – burgers are made to order and they will bring everyone else’s order out 15 minutes before the burger. The place was sticky. We couldn’t figure out how to get napkins and had to ask. As folks started showing up it was mostly families with screaming toddlers (which is fine, but just a know before you go) and the way the place is designed, the sound travels. The food was pretty good if a bit over salted. It felt like a bunch of kids had been left in charge. They were very nice overall, but lacked a bit of professionalism. Sitting around instead of cleaning or checking on guests. Happy to help when asked, but not exactly motivated. It seemed like the place was missing a manager or something. I’d definitely give it another try….if I had plenty of time.

All I can really say is I’m disappointed. Came here for lunch with some coworkers, we’ve been visiting Belly Acres at its former locations for years but I’m not sure we’ll want to return any time soon. The food continues to be good but the menu is shrinking, and the service (or lack thereof) is taking its toll.

Two of my peers are vegetarians, they were disappointed to see many popular items removed from the veggie plate. We’re in the South, how do you not have sweet potatoes? (And please educate the kitchen staff on the difference between pinto and lima beans.)

Those of us that did order burgers were pleased with the food when it arrived, but the process of ordering was way more painful than it ever should be. At former locations you’d order at the register and take a seat, for some reason now its table service. Our server came back twice to let us know things weren’t available. The server asked one of us what we wanted substituted, but never asked the rest of us and we all received that. Our server was also not aware of what was an upcharge so that was an extra bit of fun when it came time to check out.

The forced table service also places that fun social taboo of talking about tipping, which given how bad the service was didn’t inspire much. However, the handheld payment terminal offers very little in the way of info or options. Tip buckets are large buttons (15, 20, and 25%), but it’s not clear if our party size made for any auto-gratuity. Only after getting my printed receipt did we find out the upcharges and a lovely 3% credit card fee that wasn’t disclosed.

Belly Acres, please get this together. It’s so disappointing considering how often we used to go to the Ridgeway location. You had a winning formula, not sure why these changes were made.

Tried after looking through some reviews. Got the smash burger and it was one of the best burgers I have had in a restaurant. The sweet potato fries were so-so to me. They have a cinnamon sugar in them I didn’t care for. Ate some my of my daughters regular fries. They were good. Her hotdog was good too. Little pricey but not too bad.
