We came here to try the No. 10–ranked pizza in Europe, and it truly lived up to the hype! The food was excellent, but the service and ambiance were even better.

Bishal was very attentive and helpful, making our dinner a great experience. The burrata and cocktails were fantastic, and the tiramisu was a perfect finish.

Highly recommended!

Highly recommend but also very important to make reservations in advance. The pizzas are really special and good. The prices are a bit high than usual but it’s because of the fame of the olace and really worth it.
Very romantic but also a good place for celebrations (birthday, anniversaries) but it’s not a bit restaurant so be aware of the size if the group. The food is really good and they have good wine verations. Just don’t forget to book in advance your spot 🙂

Me and my friend, we came across this restaurant by chance, it was just around the corner of our hotel. Without reservations it would need to wait for a while, so we decided to came back the night after.
The online reservation system is easy for foreigners and user friendly.
The pizza and pasta were awesome, waiters were friendly and welcoming, they suggested nice beer to accompany the food.
Thank you so much for the nice dining experience, we will be back. 🙂

My husband loves Neapolitan style pizza – he makes it at home frequently and when we travel we search out the highest rated pizza in the area. After eating wood fired pizza in several countries he has declared this pizza
THE BEST HE HAS EVER HAD. He always orders a DOP Margherita, I order a local flavor. Both were excellent with perfect soft crusts. Also has a great beer and wine selection.
Highly recommended!

I’m not sure where the “Top 10 in the world” statement came from… We came with expectations, but unfortunately the pizza was nice and nothing more. Dough that couldn’t hold the toppings and a taste that only improved after adding chili oil. Pasta with truffle mushrooms was good – as you would expect when adding truffles. The tiramisu at the end was weak… Nice waiters and the offer of a shot of limoncello/grappa is a nice gesture, but the overall feeling is that of a fast food outlet and not a restaurant. After less than an hour we left the place.

A very good restaurant serving quality pizza ( better than most places we have been). However, the dough was slightly underworked in places — the edges lacked fluffiness, and some parts were still stuck together, possibly to avoid overbaking. The tomato sauce was also a bit watery. On the positive side, the panna cotta dessert was a pleasant surprise, and the staff were friendly and provided excellent service.

I usually follow the 50toppizza list and found Forno D’oro on the 10th place for 2025 best pizza in Europe. Since I had a Lisbon trip coming up recently I thought it was a no-brainer to book a table and venture upon the greatness of another pizza adventure! First off, I was not able to book for one person, but I booked for two and got in without any questions asked about the whereabouts of my blind mate. Thanks for that. A group of 7 next to me had no booking and were not able to get accommodated. So I got lucky with my booking.

The restaurant is a bit tucked away about 800 meters from the main streets around Pç do Marquês de Pombal. It’s actually a nice neighborhood. It’s impossible to get a good feeling about the place from the outside, you need to get inside. It’s not a traditional pizza-parlor for sure, and they do carry other great items on the menu, but the pizza may be the magnet. Inside, you have a modern perhaps Scandinavian inspired table and chair layout. Everything white. Then you have the large neapolitan pizza oven. Those are always super exciting to see. The price range is between 13-19 for pizzas (2025) and then you need drinks, water and possibly dessert and an extra drink. Expect a modest price of ~25 euro for one person. It was about what I paid, and I am quite astonished that it was possible for this price. But again I only had pizza, a bottle of water and a beer.

Concerning service, yes it’s really fine. You feel very welcome and everyone seems very eager to please, the attentive staff asks you if all is good. I ordered a beer from Letraria which was opened for me and put in a champagne cooler on the side. A little overwhelming, if you ask me. The guy was very humble, almost on the verge of being nervous when servicing, so I couldn’t help but getting a little nervous myself.

Now concerning the pizza. I quickly studied the criteria for getting a spot on the 50toppizza.it list and I now know that Forno D’oros drinks list, service, local ingredients, sustainability among others constitutes the criteria for getting a spot on the list. However, the pizza to me was “OK”, definitely neapolitan style and worth coming back for? Absolutely, but I would try out the rest of the menu and still go about looking for even better pizzas. In my home area we have several pizzerias doing neapolitan style. I can’t help but saying if Forno D’oro gets a spot for 10th best pizza in Europe, then the pizzerias around here can easily compete with that (if you judge only by the taste, look and flavor of the pizza).

The food, service, wine and deserts were amazing. The Vongole and Mushroom Tagliatelle were both the best we’ve ever had. Everyone seemed to be enjoying the food and wine. Even though we didn’t have the pizza, many other diners were happy to do so. We would go back in a heart beat. The Tiramisu was so tasty and again, it may be the best we ever had.

The highlight of this place was defo tiramisu. Unfortunately pasta and pizza didn’t live up to our expectations. Atmosphere was a bit chaotic, they have plenty of uber delivery so you’ll notice a lot of pizza boxes and delivery staff members. The place itself a bit too small for serving big amount of customers, yet they put way too many tables there. Hence, no privacy, you’d be able to hear everyone’s convos. If it’s not a big deal for you, then it’s a place to be! It also gets quite noisy they even printed out lil reminders about keeping your voice down, but seems like no one cares. Moreover in January when it’s cold outside, it was extremely hot indoors. I can only imagine how hot it gets there during summer. I wouldn’t recommend it.
