Best fried chicken sandwiches in the city IMO.
Mac and cheese is solid, as well as their Brussels sprouts. Brussels sprouts don’t travel super well, better to eat in store vs to go.
I usually get the Nashville unless their special is looking good. Orders are usually pretty quick, they do a great job of takeout

Poutine was really good, had the Honey Dill chicken sandwich— very good! Mac n cheese was not bad but nothing to write home about. Took the mini egg cookie to go and it was good too! Friendly staff and free parking. Would definitely go back!

A small space with amazing food and great staff. If you dread the thought of crossing over to Halifax because of the traffic I am here to tell you it is worth it for the food. I have waited over an hour in rush hour traffic just to make it here. The chicken burgers are the best I’ve ever had. Make sure to follow them on socials as there is a different special burger every week. Their fries are amazing and seasoned perfectly. The mac n cheese is delicious. Just overall great food with friendly staff and a cozy environment.

Small place, small parking lot, a little bit higher prices then I would like. Meal was good, I liked my burger and wife’s chicken breast. The only thing that I didn’t like – permanent vibration of all the place. Like, you can literally see how the plastic panels that are separating the restaurant are trembling all the time. It was a little bit uncomfortable.

Service was fantastic, it isn’t a true sit down restaurant but the service feels like it is. Very friendly staff and got our food very quick.
The food was amazing, the Mac and cheese was great and my Nashville sandwich was fantastic although it definitely had some kick.
The atmosphere was cozy but comfortable and felt right for the type of restaurant it is.
Overall would definitely recommend.

Guys this was the best thing I ever had fr. Mukbang was so good I didn’t even make it to the table. I got the honey dill sandwich and it was phenom, though it was cold cuz I got take out, I only can imagine how good it’d be hot

Had heard lots of good things about here, but was sooo good. Definitely worth checking it out. The food was great and staff was very friendly. The atmosphere outside is also such a vibe. Fun to even hang out in there. They have a patio as well that was a fun vibe and well maintained. Have to say though poutine was probably the best I’ve ever had definitely will be going here again and making it a regular occurrence.

Parking is super tight, so is seating (during peak hours) so either plan to visit and potentially wait to sit, or bring somewhere close to absolutely savourrrrrr. had Nashville chicken sandwiche, and a small brussel sprouts and small AMC and cheese. Best brussel sprouts I’ve had in my life. Great mac and cheese. Superior chicken sandwich when compared to anything local or any chain in Canada. Go get it.

I’ve came to Chkn Chop a few times over the years, I absolutely love their poutine, my 2nd favourite in the city. Their portion sizes are huge. Sometimes the poutines a little too salty to my liking though. No pepper & salt shakers at the tables, only mayo and vinegar.
On this visit I saw a Reddit recommendation saying this was the best Mac and cheese in HRM. Maybe I just had a bad batch but it was lukewarm and didn’t have exceptional flavour. It was still good though.
I’ll be back in the future for more delicious poutine in the future!
