I just wanted to share how amazing the Mt. Vernon Hardees location is every time I visit. The staff are always kind, professional, and efficient. Every time I go to this location I can be assured that the food is phenomenal and is ready quickly. The manager Miranda was wonderful today! I shared with her how I appreciate such kind service with great food in person as well. Thank you!

The food was not as advertised. It shows a good quantity but when received it was absolutely small and a little dry. No condiments and it took more than 5 minutes to get my food. No flavored creamer. I just am not particularly happy about it. Tried the blueberry biscuits they were about the only thing I would go back for. My son liked the frisco thing. I was not impressed with the omelette biscuit.

This was not a shining moment for Hardee’s in my opinion. Miranda at the cash register needed additional help from a manager because my wife informed her that she was gluten free,
The lettuce on her Double Bacon Cheeseburger was old, wilted and black on parts of it. The beef tacos I ordered were as follows: Hard shell, some hot seasoned beef, lettuce and cheese. No hot sauce was available by the drink stand and I did not ask the employees for any.
The employees were nice, the place was kind of clean, and we could not wait to get back on the road and leave.
Since we do not live in the state, the chances of us giving them another shot are slim to none.

I wanted 2 chicken biscuits and they said it would be a 4 minute wait. It seems like it took less than 4 minutes and they both chicken patties seemed like they were cooked for 10 minutes or more. The biscuits were so crumbly it made it hard to eat in the car.

So I revisited this location despite my first mind. I will tell you the experience was way better than before. Everyone was friendly and helpful. I asked what changed and the employees said they’re under new management. So if you haven’t been here recently give them a try again because they’ve definitely made some changes. Thanks for changing my mind about this location.

Katherine was The One that GREETED me with such ENTHUSIASM AND SWEET VOICE at The Hardees on Broadway (1500425) Mt. Vernon, IL. DRIVE-THRU And when I got to The Window she GREETED me again with such An AWESOME Personality!! She had the food ready with A SMILE!! She TRULY is A CUSTOMER/PEOPLE-PLEASING PERSON!! We came in to town as our halfway point to stop and have some dinner. Went inside to order and had one other person waiting in line. Apparently he was waiting for a little while and was offered a large fry. He ended up handing it back because it was cold and was given a fresh batch. Once he left it was our turn to order. The lady in the front (Marjorie) greeted us and asked us what we’d like. We gave her our order and she recommended upsizing our meals and substituting regular fries for Curly Fries. Once our order was placed we were given our drink cups and then ran into another problem. There wasn’t any ice in the machine and all the teas were gone. We’re both very patient people and waited for her to come back to the counter to ask for ice from her well in the back. Once that was finished she gave us our “order”, asked us to leave a review (whether if it was good or bad), and we left back to our hotel. Prior to leaving we checked our bags and saw two sandwiches and two fries. Exactly what we ordered. So we returned to our room and were ready to eat until we noticed that our sandwiches were a bit small. We checked and ended up with two chicken sandwiches instead of two burgers. We kinda laughed and said damn we have to go back for what we paid for. Returned back and was met with a little rudeness from the cook (one of two people working at the time). She demanded if we were the guys that had such and such and we said yes ma’am. Marjorie (the cashier) profusely apologized and told us she wasn’t having the greatest shift today and we told her it was no problem at all and that she was doing great. She grabbed our sandwiches and asked us if they were correct and we said yes one of them but the other one wasn’t. The cook interrupted and said that’s the two burgers we ordered and Marjorie exclaimed that one said bacon burger and the other mushroom and Swiss. Which we agreed it did. The cook said look at the wrapper and we were looking hard and it said mushroom Swiss. Then the cook shouted to look under the burger which then we said oh there it is. Normally when you wrap a burger you wrap and cover the name of the burger that’s NOT what’s in the wrapper. As we were leaving the cook kept criticizing the cashier in the front for her mistakes and didn’t have one good thing to say to her. I get it was just the two of the but if you’re barking and belittling the newbie, she’s not gonna properly get things done right in order for smooth service.
Anyways the food was delicious and will leave it at that ¯_(ツ)_/¯
